Nala certainly did draw looks in public. Not that Joy could blame anyone. Her friend was absolutely gorgeous, and it was obvious to anyone with eyes that she was a model. And if they didn't think that she was, they definitely thought she should be. Joy had never been jealous of Nala or Sin. They might have been prettier, but she'd always been comfortable with how she looked. She supposed it came down to two very good sets of parents who had always taught her to be confident in herself. Besides, Janie thought she was awesome and nothing beat a little sister looking up to you.
"How is work going for you?" she asked. She's ask about work later, but for now she just wanted to hear about bitchy models and fashion and other normal things. She got enough supervillains and drama to not want to deal with it in one of her few real moments of free time. "Looking gorgeous and making everyone else catty and jealous? That's how it works, right?" She grinned, showing she was just joking, and then shook her head when Nala asked if she'd ordered.
"I figured I'd just wait for you," she said. "I wasn't starving or anything, so it seemed rude to rush before you even got here. Besides, that way we can both eat, not have one of those weird timing things happen where I finish when you're just getting started and then we both sit awkwardly."
