Stolen Hope.
Leaving Earth and Josh and Henry and Katima had been terribly hard for Avalon. When the sun set, he said goodbye to Josh and forced himself to go. Reaching Odym is imperative now, but only because Avalon doesn't know what else to do with himself. His whole life is crumbling.

The Blue Lantern doesn't cry anymore, for he's shed all his tears by now into Josh's shirt. It felt good to let that go, but it's past now and it's time to be serious. To face the bed that he's made. Avalon does not expect to be welcomed warmly - there's never been a case of a Blue Lantern loosing their way the way he has. He's fairly certain that he will be returning his ring and sent back to Nalor. Even thousands of sectors away, Avalon knows that his heart had been left behind on Earth. He is so comfortably numb he couldn't say with confidence that he really cared what happened to him.

He's keeping on his toes though - Avalon knows that traveling is dangerous. Despite his speed, he's all but helpless. He may not care what the Lanterns on Odym do with him, but he'd rather not become space-worm food.

	Not at all amused, Avalon wheels to face the attack, trying to put eyes on whomever is striking at him. He can't do much more than shield himself, but he can at least try to evade. "Seriously? 	"Nay," the human-like man says. Three rings glint on his fingers: orange, yellow, and violet, though the violet ring appears dead. "Ye are the Blue Lantern partner of mine arch-foe!" he declares. 	Avalon grits his teeth as he tries to pull his shield up between himself and the madman. It's barely in time though, and he grunts under the force of trying to maintain under his orange and yellow rings. "I guess you didn't get the memo, but he's not my partner anymore." "Damnit.." Avalon mutters to himself, and then gasps softly as the yellow beam starts to crack through his shielding. Avalon doesn't linger on any regrets though, he simply, calmly, diverts more power to his shield, trying to keep it up.

But it can't hold forever. The orange starts to burn through the cracks made by the yellow, and soon enough Avalon's world fades away in a bright sea of orange and yellow.

Henry flies as quickly as he can. He has to get to Odym before Avalon makes a huge mistake. If he's heading to Odym, that means he's going to do something with his ring.

He likely intends to give it up.

Dammit... I seriously screwed things up. He considers how he could have been so blind as to hurt Avalon so badly that he's come to this... and he considers how he can make it up to him.

The idea of a romance with Avalon isn't an unwelcome one. He hasn't had sex with Avalon, but he could see taking it slow with him. But it's the idea of a romance at all that seems such a strange concept for Henry.

He's never been one for a romance. He's been one for passion. For sex. Sure, he's been on dates, but it's never been anything serious. Just something to do for fun. Flirting as an appetizer before the main course, or, occasionally , an event unto itself.

But now Henry's torn. He's badly hurt Avalon, and he cares deeply for him. He could see himself with Avalon as his boyfriend.

But he could also see Josh as his boyfriend. And he could see Katima as his girlfriend.

Not that any of them particularly want him at the moment... but that doesn't matter at the moment. He needs to get them all together. He needs to lay all his cards out on the table. He needs to open up to them, and see what happens.

The idea terrifies him. But that's why he needs to do this. Green Lanterns overcome great fear.

Even, apparently, romantic terror.

My ring?

Henry pauses, considering. Malvolio is dead; killed in combat with his father. Though he's faked his death before. And that's the only person he can think of who could try to lay a claim to this ring.

Regardless, Henry can't ignore the message. Avalon was alone -- he couldn't stand against an Orange Lantern alone. The blue rings are limited when they're not near a green ring.

He heads towards the coordinates. Of course, he can practically hear Admiral Ackbar in the back of his mind, but whether or not there's a trap coming doesn't matter. He needs to free Avalon.

While the allusion would escape Malicor, anyone's inner Admiral Ackbar ought to be screaming.

Right in the open in the out-of-the-way but reasonably-lit location indicated in the coordinates, Malicor has set the unconscious blue lantern on a chair in the hands-and-feet-classically-chained fashion, his ring removed. Malicor stands just a ways behind the chair with one ring-clad hand aimed at the blue lantern's neck. He stands holding the blue ring with his free hand and an examining air. But he sets it on an adjacent table as he gets the indication that Jordan draws near.

	A small out-of-the-way planet. Likely riddled with hiding places. No telling how many opponents are stashed away. Hard to say if the guy aiming the ring is the guy behind this or not. 	The cold look he gives Henry Jordan alters as his eyes shift to his hand. 	Malicor turns his back on Henry immediately as, in a near-panic, he spins out a vast, tight-knit construct net to draw in His Treasure. Henry immediately rushes to the table, grabbing Avalon's ring and thrusting it on his finger.

This nutjob won't be distracted for long, Henry knows. He dispels the image of his ring, the construct he created to fool his opponent, and makes his ring, still safely on his finger, unphase from being invisible.

He tears Avalon from his chair and, carrying him in his arms, begins to fly rapidly away.

"Come on, Blue... wake up...."

That was a really hard blow that Avalon has taken - then again Malicor was making sure he wouldn't be getting up any time soon.

Once in the air, all the jostling and turbulence from escaping cause Avalon to moan and he stirs enough to at least grip onto Henry a bit. Even if that's just more an automatic thing than actual consciousness. But hey, at least it meant that Avalon is alive, right?

	It's a good thing that Avalon has on his ring now. He babbles a bit, the words sounding like nonsense until he finally started to come about. Avalon blinks his eyes open a bit wider and then gasps as he ducks his head in against Henry as they narrowly avoid another blast.

"Alright. Later." he then says as he quickly switches gears into serious mode and activates his ring. The green glow of protection afforded by Henry instantly is replaced by his own bright blue glow, and Avalon takes over his own transport.

"I got an idea, I just need you to keep his attention." Avalon says as he spirals away to one side, swerving to miss blasts.

One of those things that's going to get Henry in plenty of trouble in times to come? Malicor isn't stupid. He's aware its become two on one, despite his efforts. He's aware of the nature of blue and green rings working together. He's aware he had a blue ring, and he let it slip through his fingers. And he even briefly considers retreat.

And then the orange ring kicks in, and greed wins.

"MINE!" he snaps, tendrils of orange light come twisting and writhing at the pair.

	Avalon slings a long wide circle back around, trying to flank Malicor while his attention is on Henry. He knows that Malicor isn't stupid, but Avalon is a fast, maneuverable flier. Malicor is so distracted with blasting Henry that he doesn't see Avalon come barreling up on him from behind.

Avalon shoulders into Malicor, knocking him off-line from blasting Henry, and then clings to the man with one hand, his other curled into a fist.

"You talk funny and make my head hurt from your greed!" he snarls as he takes a few rather well aimed shots at Malicore's jaw. Avalon can't beat him with constructs, but that doesn't stop him from using his hands.

Malicor is taken off guard, crashing to the ground under the onslaught. His orange light aura doesn't eat away at the blue like it does the green.

Still, he's no slouch in a fight, swatting at Avalon's hand.

"Thou hast won this round. I will away... but believe this, Jordan... I will have my ring, even if it must needs be pried from thy cold, dead fingers."

With a flash of orange tinged yellow light, he's gone.

	Avalon is fine, though he has to give himself a shake to try and get his breath back to normal and the anger out of his tone. "Yes. I am fine." he then replies in an almost flat tone, before he wills himself up and over to where Henry stands.
