Healing Process
Josh shifts slightly on his perch and sighs. It's dark out but he doesn't care. The healer's in Henry's backyard, up in a tree and in a relaxed position. He's got the hood of his sweatshirt up and is just staring up at the stars through the leaves. He can sense who's inside and he fights the urge to tear up again. He's just thankful his powers got rid of the telltale signs that he'd been crying earlier.

"Maybe I should just go tonight. What do you think?" he asks a cat that's perched in the tree with him. The feline yawns, stretches, and then walks away. Josh just sighs again.

	"No, Josh. I do need to apologize. I didn't realize what my presence was doing to you or to Avalon. And then the Sapphire did what she did...I feel responsible for that as well. "Stop it!" Josh speaks up suddenly, looking at Katima with a faintly annoyed expression.

"It's bad enough Ava is rushing off to the Blue Lantern HQ to try giving up his ring. You shouldn't give up on being one of you Indigo Lanterns just because you made a mistake any person could make. I swear, if Henry starts talking about giving up his ring when him and Ava come back I am going to hit him!" he rambles a bit. Of course he doubts he can ever hurt Henry but saying it makes him feel a little better.

"You're still able to do great good for people everywhere and for me, Ava, and Henry."

"Josh," she sighs. "I'm an Indigo Lantern. I'm also an empath. My entire duty is compassion. Where was my compassion the other night? When I did not realize the pain you and Avalon were in?" She shakes her head.

"I love you both too much to permit myself remain in a position of duty when I am clearly not up to the task. I just hope that when Henry returns the three of you can be happy. I want you all to be happy."

Josh frowns. "I don't know much about any of these crazy space rings," he begins. "Other than the fact that the black ones apparently make my head hurt a lot and my skin crawl...but I've been hiding how I feel for a long time," he glances away. "Not your fault for not knowing. "And Avalon's an empath too. He was blocking out his emotions from broadcast. He told me so himself," he says. "And none of us will be happy if you leave."
