Stopping by (open to JSA)
After she'd visited Cat, Layla had put in a quick call to her Dad to tell him that she was back in the states, and that she'd be back in St. Roch in a couple of days. She then decided to head on over to the JSA Brownstone, to see if they wouldn't mind her crashing there for the night. It'd been a long time since she'd been over there, having been away in Egypt for the past year. Still, it wasn't as if she'd never stopped by before, or made the annual appearance at the occasional cookout with her dad.

Layla made her way up to the door, suitcase and bag with costume, mace, and wings in hand. Layla rang the doorbell and waited.

Jacob had only recently joined the JSA as a reservist and as their full-time mechanic, but he had been a staple of the childhood of the JSAers. For years he stayed away due to the crippling of his father by Morlun, so he hadn't seen Layla in a long time. He came to the door, rubbing grease off his hands before turning the knob. He bends down a little to make out the person clearly.

"Hello?"

The guy who answered the door looked a little familiar to her, but his name wasn't coming to her right then. Layla gave him a small smile.

"Hi," she said. "I'm Layla Hall, Hawkgirl. I just got back from Egypt, and I've got some time before I have to go back home to St. Roch, so I thought I'd swing by. I've helped the JSA in before. That, and both of my parents were long-standing members."
