Well, they'd managed to convince their parents (a little less hers, it was high time she moved out anyway, though she was keeping her basement workshop) that their moving in together was a good idea. The age gap had come up, but they were in love and nothing much was going to stop them even if their parents didn't approve. Checks had been signed, keys handed over, furniture purchased (Avia wasn't big on throwing around money, but she certainly did have it to throw when she needed it), things packed and later unpacked, the placement of furniture discussed and tweaked...

And they were finally moved in.

And, being finally settled, they were able to throw a housewarming party. Avia's JLA teammates, Will's JSA teammates, Cindy and the New Guardians, Di and Ri and their Titans friends if they wanted to come... anybody who made their mutual association list.

Ought to be one swinging shindig.

	"Of course. My apologies." Varon sets her down and retrieves a keychain from his pocket. He presses a button on it and, with a quick double beep, the Headship vanishes from sight. 	Varon follows her directing and spots the infamous William, apparently conversing with some tiny acquaintance of theirs. He smiles and nods. "I shall go and introduce myself. I have not seen much of you in recent weeks, and should reassure him that it is only our friendship I am interested in rekindling." He smiles down at her. "I am glad you are happy." Varon shook one of Will's hands vigorously and clapped him on the shoulder with his free hand. "It is a pleasure to finally meet you, William. I, am Varon - THE HYPER TEEN. Your fair lady is a friend of Varon's, and it would have been remiss of him to miss such a festive occasion celebrating your advancing relationship."

He grins broadly. "And the relationship is well? I trust you are pleasing Avia regularly?"

He turns to the other male present. "And who might you be? Another friend of Avia's, one of her 'exes' like myself perhaps, or are you linked to her paramour?"

	Shock. Just complete and abject shock is what Wills face shows right now. He knew that Avia was ..."active" before they had started dating, but he wasn't ready to have Captain Scruff Adonis comd out of nowhere, say the things he did, and get more than that. Avia found the will to move, crossing the room quickly. "Varon!" she snapped. "You leave Will alone."

Highfather, had she meant to invite him? She was reasonably certain she hadn't, but when you were sending out that many text invites....

He was a nice guy.. Being harsh to him would be like kicking a puppy. "Settle, please, m'man. Not everyone here's as far outrageous as you."

	He turns abruptly, seeming increasingly concerned as Avia seems upset. "I was just apologizing... I'm sorry the pony rides are undesirable... perhaps I should have opted for the bounce castle rental instead..." He muses that last part mostly to himself. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The way he stopped, it seemed as if he wasn't intending on being an ass. It was as if he didn't really understand it. the way he talked about stuff, the pony thing, it all screamed "I don't know what I'm doing."

This was what was keeping Will from asking him to leave.

"I-I don't think the b-bounce castle would be allowed, either. B-but thanks for the thought," Will said, forcing a smile. He's still mortified, but trying to see the best of the situation.
