The Evening After:
Henry and Katima spent much of the day in bed. Eventually, however, they needed to get out of bed, and he's invited Katima to come with him to get a bite to eat.

He's helped her disguise herself with the powers of the ring so that she looks human, and taught her how to place the battery-staff in a pocket dimension, the way he does with his own battery.

As they step out of the ice cream shop, he gives her a hip-bump. "So. What do you think of Earth food?"

	She licked her ice cream cone, still curious about how easily the ring provided her both pants and a human appearance. It was fascinating and very nice. Smiling, she hip-checked him back. Donald visualizes the thought, focuses on causing her to put it into action, capitalizing on momentary doubts, questions, worry for Josh, worry for Avalon. Visualizes her thinking that Henry, maybe, isn't such a nice guy, showing her around, but a manipulative brat out for his own good and pleasure, manipulating them all to only his own benefit.

Effectively, visualizing, and trying to force her to visualize a slightly different ending to that statement. In this case:

"Henry, I think you are wonderful. But for the greater good, I need to shoot you in the face.*

She heard herself say it, but she knew even as the words crossed her lips that they weren't her words. Were they? No. No. Couldn't be.

Her eyes widened with shock but she felt herself almost disconnect, as though she were not herself, giving into darker urges.

"You think you can have your cake and eat it, too. It doesn't work that way."

What am I doing???

"This is really the only way."

She holds her ring steady, aimed precisely between his eyes and with perfect control. It would seem she's a dead shot but even as her body takes on a combative stance, her eyes and face are betraying her horror.

"Henry..." She tries to break through whatever it is that is driving her to homicide and for a moment, her voice squeaks with fear. It is fleeting, though and despite her face showing horror, she still speaks as though possessed.

"I'll be a hero for this..."

She fires, though her hand jerks at the last second, her aim leaving his face for his arm.

	His arm is stinging from the blast -- his shield protected him from the worst of it, but he's still feeling it. She's an enemy of the Green Lantern Corps -- I'll be recognized as a hero... The stun blast knocks her backwards and onto the pavement before the violet shield is in place but as soon as it is, Katima starts crying. Or rather, tears slide down her cheeks.

"Henry...I..."

What could she say? She'd just shot him. If it hadn't been for the presence of the Star Sapphire, the level of guilt she'd feel would be extreme. The violet light though, it simply made her feel pained regret.

"Nok..."

Donald scowls, informing the other three via telepathy that the Star Sapphire is interfering, and seems to not even be going along with her own plan.

Ah well, time to improvise.

He transmits to Henry *The girls are working together! Destroy them both as enemies of the corps, you'll be a hero!*

And to Katima *And now lover-boy there has /another/ beau crawling out of the woodwork, as soon as she saw him with another girl. They're both enemies!*
