To the Batmobile!
A sleek black car, hardly distinguishable from the shadows, speeds toward the highway exit with barely a sound. It was the sort of car that would have car enthusiasts drool if they caught a glimpse.

And he was behind the wheel.

Hey, Batman was retired but a car like this couldn't be left to collect dust.

	"Clearly you don't know how to make things more fun, I'm giving them a head start," he chuckles and rolls his eyes at her. Robin waits until the van is almost at the end of the street before he turns to go after it. "Are you on weapon systems duty?" "And you say you're fun," he says while blatantly ignoring the no showing off part. He probably gives a few drivers mini heartattacks with how close he gets, but only seems to enjoy it even more. "You know, half the fun is seeing the drivers of the getaway car look back and find the Batmobile on their tails," he continues as if he hadn't just taken a roundabout way just so he could drive them off an overpass later. What? It would cut off the van and it was fun.

	The batmobile continues swerving through traffic. This time against the flow, which was only more fun in his opinion. "Good, and I don't want to hear about it. 	"No, it means I'm not as obvious about it as you." And besides, he's not sure if what he has counts as a love life. He'll settle for the sex life and complicated 'love life' he's got now. He swore under his breath and rolled his eyes. "I don't have a social life. How am I supposed to meet girls who I don't want to meet you?" Well he didn't have a social life, that was true. And he hated ever having girls meet his family, in either universe, because he knew they'd embarrass him.

If he knew she might follow him and find out why he'd been coming back from patrols on quiet nights so late, he'd be mortified. But he takes the opportunity to send the Batmobile flying off the overpass onto the road below. With a squeal from the tires the car turns to block the way of the runaway van they'd been racing to cut off. "Want to hit it with sonething?" Well as far as ways to distract her from this topic this wasn't such a bad way to go about it.

"I don't know if I should be insulted that you don't want a girl to meet me or complimented that you don't want a girl to meet me. Put it this way. Any girl scared off by me isn't one you want to be with and will be boring as all hell."

Now of course Maria was going to start following him at night.

"Just get me close enough and I'll take out the tires." She stood up and pulled out her crossbow.

"It's not about scaring off. It seems that wherever I am I have a family who will embarrass me." Not to mention that if they found out said woman was a thief? He's not sure what would be worse, the potential merciless teasing from Maria or AltDad's hypocritical lectures.

Darn. Well his only hope is that she might think he knows this girl as Thomas and not Robin. Either way, having her on his back about this mystery girl was probably going to end up in some inconvenient and mortifying experience. For him at least. He had a feeling Maria would find it amusing.

As the drivers of the runaway van squabble amongst themselves, they speed towards the looming black car. Thomas waited for a moment with a smirk for the moment they realized what was in front of them. Those expressions were the essence of fear. Ah, nothing like the view of striking fear into hearts in the very early morning. He makes the top slide down, so Maria could get a better shot, as he finally let's the Batmobile close in on its target.

"Uh huh. And answer is still no," he responds as the van's front tire blows out and it goes into a spin. Well it wasn't like this eventually embarrassing (and hopefully never-to-come as far as he was concerned) meeting would be very public. Rooftops only had so many visitors. Not to mention they were really frisky around each other. Shoot, he hopes Maria wouldn't run into that. It was lucky she hadn't already.
