Getting Some Air (Open to Gothamites)
He told Ezra that he was going outside for some air. In Durlin-talk that meant standing on a rooftop overlooking the city. He was in his standard gear, mask on his face. No reason to get cocky in this city. While he wasn't as behind this hero-thing as Ezra was, they were actually accomplishing stuff. Surprisingly enough they weren't being constantly harassed by the Bat-Family. Which could mean they either didn't believe the Durlins were much of a problem or were planning something quick and definitive in response. ..sometimes it sucked being paranoid all the time. He might as well actually take the time to enjoy the night-air.

	"I think he thought to be a big shot in Gotham you needed to be...eccentric." He can see where the guy may have gotten that impression, but it wasn't one he personally agreed with. 	Evan just shakes his head at the thought. "With the big fish here, should we move?" Yes he still resented the Bat-dominion in Gotham, but Robin was the more experienced crime fighter so it didn't hurt to defer to his opinion. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thomas may not like guns but he isn't so intensely against them as Batman was. At least this guy wasn't using normal bullets. Robin glances back at Evan to indicate he's going, then disappears into the shadows, aiming to catch them by surprise. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Once he gets a better angle, batarangs come flying out of the darkness to unarm any mooks with guns. Then Robin himself dives off the roof and into the fray. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Evan doesn't employ the guns straight away for risk of sound, so instead he moves in quick and starts landing quick, rapid strikes to the now-unarmed guards. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Normally he might have stayed in the shadows longer but he doesn't know too well how the other guy fights. And crimefighting is his job, so he should be the one to draw attention to himself and take more of the risk.

Once some of the guards are down he goes straight for the enforcer. Because taking him down in front of his boss always sent a message, and had the bonus of being awfully satisfying.

	Of the brothers, Evan was definitely the brawler. While he knew elements of more refined martial arts, he preferred a much more smash-mouth style. Put 'em down quick and hard, but keep a few conscious. Tommy Do sees Robin out of the corner of his eye and moves to defend his boss. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He pretends that his target is the boss, but really he wants to send a message. First step is to trash Tommy. First shot he takes is aimed to dislocate the man's shoulder, the next is a leg sweep to bring him down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Do recognizes the danger enough to move, keeping the blow from dislocating the shoulder, but it was still painful. The kick dropped him down, but he quickly returned to his feet with a kip-up. Blades slide from Tommy's sleeves as he sends a barrage of quick attacks to try and slice Thomas up.

The Columbian tries to head back to his car, but Evan heads after him until he's tackled by a wall of a brute. Evan knew guys like this were hard to hurt, but he was familiar with pressure points..which would help if he could break the guy's grip.

Blades again? No. After that fiasco of a gang all armed with knifes that put him out for a bit there he's not letting one guy with some switch blades get the better of him. Stepping back, he continues dodging until he sees an opening to grab a wrist. He pushes the arm he's grabbed towards the other and aims a palm strike to crush the elbow and take one arm out of play.

He notices Evan dealing with a brute and takes note, but hopes the guy can deal with that for a little while on his own. At least for a small bit while Tommy (how he hated that name for himself) was dealt with.

This time Do couldn't react in time and the elbow was smashed. He let out a cry, but rather than stop attacking, he brings a foot up, which Thomas may notice had a blade at the end too.

Alright then, no reason to play nice here. Evan drove his forehead into the guy's nose, breaking it. The guy stumbled, loosening his grip. Evan then launches a couple of blow under the man's armpits.

	Thomas sighs. Blades everywhere. He bring his heel up to slam into Do's knee and then twists the arm he still has a grip on to flip his opponent to the ground. He glances over at Evan's fight to see that his opponent is rather sturdy and recovering quickly. Well, at least most of the others were down. But they needed to be quick. And Do is unable to counter, flopping to the ground in an groaning pile.

Evan dodges a swing and kicks the man behind the knee, dropping him down where Evan nails him hard in the face twice. The man gorans once before flopping down.

He looks back to see the Columbian had stayed to watch the fight but was now trying to head back to his car. Mikey Minh had been a bit more pragmatic and had headed down the block.

	"Get the Colombian," he tells Evan then dashes off after Minh. He needed to have a few words with the man, and they'd met before. A batarang goes whizzing by the man's head, very slightly clipping his ear. When he turns he'll see Robin gaining on him and giving a glare that made it clear: that was a warning shot. 	Evan doesn't respond verbally, but heads to cut the man off. Pulling out his pistols, he fires a few impact rounds, causing the Columbian to fall and bump his head on the car. Evan went up to the woozy man and started to tie him up. Minh halted dead in his tracks, frozen. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Robin can't help but grin a little. This was what proved the man would never be big in Gotham.

From a distance, the rest could see Robin slam the man down, step on a hand and lean down with a hand pushing the man's head down and give him a few choice words. After a minute, Robin gets up and casually walks back towards where Evan is, not even bothering to cuff his target. He'd called the police and Minh was still on the ground shaking, even if he ran he wouldn't get far.

"How's this one?"

"I called the police, they should be coming soon to deal with these guys. By the time the small fry in the building realize what's happening it'll be too late for them," he shrugs. On cue, sirens can be heard in the distance and Robin signals that they should move from here. The police could deal with the rest. And while this might not fully shut down the operation, it had certainly left a sizable dent, only the remaining pieces were left and those could be dealt with later.

Robin disappears to go find a rooftop perch to watch the proceedings, leaving it up to Evan if he wanted to follow or not.
