Dance. Dance. Dance. Just dance. @ 12:06 am

[info]crossbow_bat:

Maria hadn't planned on keeping her dancing job at The Diamond Room but it had proved to pay well in more than just one way. Sure the cash was great, but the information she was getting out of Tony "The Nose" Bucco and the Gambino crime family was worth more than the cash. The Huntress used the information to take as many of those bastards and their associates off the streets as possible. There was also the cash and jewels she stole from them as well. That money helped pay for her equipment and the rest was donated to the various charities around Gotham.

She heard Candy Star introduced and she headed for the stage.

Hide and Seek is Over @ 08:23 am

He'd been pretty good about cleaning up after himself.  Didn't want to leave a trail, you know?  That was the best way to keep himself from being tracked down by his friends or his family.  He thought he'd had a few close calls in the past few day, though.  The shadows were following him all the time, and people always stared (even though his face was always covered).  It's like everybody knew who he was the minute he walked by, and that was unacceptable.  Keith Queen was dead, and that's the way he liked it.  He'd even started to shut Marissa out; hadn't called her or tried to talk to her.  There was no way of knowing who was going to turn on him.

Keith turned the corner into an alleyway.  Once he hit the shadows, he pulled off his hood and half-mask to breathe better.  He'd been having trouble breathing for awhile now, especially behind all that fabric.  There was no real explanation for it.  He hadn't breathed in any of the smoke from when he blew up his house, and he'd always been physically fit.  This whole ordeal should have been a breeze.  But it wasn't.  He put his hand to his forehead and pressed his fingers hard against it, trying to force a thought into his head.  Or, not really into his head.  Maybe he was trying to push a thought out of his head.  There were some things he didn't like to think about; things he liked to avoid as much as possible.

But apparently, you couldn't avoid some things forever.

The Hardest Part is the waiting (Traya and Iris) @ 07:26 pm

[info]dareyoutorun:

Jai waited in the lobby at the hospital after leaving a message on Dad's phone, then calling Traya and Irey. He'd changed out of his costume almost immediately after dropping his mother off and then entered the hospital as he son, asking to see his mother.

She was in surgery now, so Jai paced the floor and waited for news, trying to understand what happened earlier. His powers simply shut down on him. What did that mean? It had never happened to him before. He hoped it was an isolated incident, because he couldn't afford to have it happen again.

He sits down and waits for the doctor to show up and, hopefully, bring some good news.

Birthday Bats (open) @ 08:32 pm

[info]crossbow_bat:

Terry was impossible to shop for. Maria knew his birthday was approaching and she had no freaking clue what to get him. Then again she wasn't much of a shopper to start with and having a difficult person to shop for made the task all that much harder.

Inspiration struck. She got him a few pairs of boxers that had "Big Boy Boxers" on them. After all, everyone had to have their big boy boxers or big girl panties. She also got him a sweater and dinner at one of Gotham's nicest restaurants for him and his girlfriend.

She left the wrapped items in the Batcave along with a card.
