Will was Nervous. Yes, with a capital "N". This was the night that his new girlfriend comes to visit. His mom was finishing up the roast (free range, of course), Dad was home helping out, and Will may well be going out of his mind in nervousness.

'Okay, okay, relax, Will', Will told himself. It was just dinner. A good, delicious dinner, made in a way Avia would like and it would be a nice way to have her meet his Mom and Dad.

It was a slight increase in local stores in St. Roch that might alert the curious observer that someone new was in the area. It wasn't anything too pricey. Some camping equipment here. Some food there along with basics. That wasn't enough to really get the local authorities chomping at their bits but then some tools went missing as well as beer.

It was going to take some work for anyone to find the Thangarian. That was of course until she got herself a little drunk while trying to fix her ship. Not the smartest idea but booze and cigars helped her think.

HEY wait a second, she ran out of cigars. She was going to go through with the worst idea ever but because she was drunk it was of course also the best and most awesome idea ever. She would go steal some cigars from the local smoke shop.

And she forgot to not set off every single alarm. This was going to end badly. She still made off with a nice box of cigars. But she just knew she was going to end up getting caught. But still she had the cigars so that made everything better obviously.

Some people might disagree with her but hey she'd deal with that after she escaped to her not so evil lair.

Cerdian walked up the stairs to Lian's apartment with the box of chocolate, running through a breathing exercise in his head. Today, he would tell Lian that he loved her and apologize for treating her so poorly. He would find out if she had it in her heart to forgive him and then the would figure out what that meant in regard to her life now. He would tell her that he wasn't marrying anyone and that he only wanted to be with her.

Upon arriving at Lian's door, Cerdian knocks three times and waits for her to answer.

Suddenly, he realizes he forgot the flowers.

GK came up the steps from his tiny basement apartment into the little yardspace behind. He was in his workout clothes and carrying his stick. Sometimes, a guy just needed to run through his fencing forms, and there certainly wasn't enough room inside.
He unsheathed the sword from the stick and was just about ready to start when he looked up at the tree and froze.

Max scowled at the reports. Phantoms, Vampires, Robots, Monsters. A veritable Saturday Morning Cartoon full of trochee-termed cliched freaks. And not a helpful hero in sight. So many of them didn't even take his calls these days. Almost made one want to go back into the business.

...It really did almost make one want to go back into the business. So many of the younger set seemed to get along with Cindy. Maybe they'd be more willing to be civil in order to deal with deal with problems like this.

"Sweetie? I need your Rolodex."
"Dad, I don't have a Rolodex. I have an iPhone."
"Same thing, sweetie."

And the messages start going out.

The few days after the attack had been very busy for Cait. Atlantis didn't run itself and there was so much to do it wasn't even funny. Cait knew what her father did and what went into running a kingdom, but she never realized how tiring it was. Cait was exhausted at the end of each day. She collapsed on her bed in the evening and didn't move until sunrise.

The work was hard, but thankfully the council was supportive and so was Lord Garth. They got through the few days while Arthur was recuperating from his injuries. When the royal physician informed her that Arthur would be ready to resume his responsibilities, Cait readied herself to go home to San Francisco.

She was in her room gathering a few things to take back with her since she had very little there.

Vic had heard some strange rumors from some of the people he liked to talk into in Chinatown. Someone in eastern Asia was claiming to be Lady Shiva brought back to life following that rather weird turn of events with the Black Lanterns.

Whomever it really was it did not seem like the real Lady Shiva at least based on her actions as he had been told them. He had met her a few times and had even been trained by her a little and knew much of her from his father and Uncle Ben so he thought he had a good idea of who she was.

Plus there was that claim that the Black Lantern version of Lady Shiva had made. That she was his mother. He had not had a chance to talk to his father or Uncle Ben about it yet and he still was not sure what to make of it.

At any rate it was definitely in his opinion worth looking into and investigating.

He quietly packed up all of his things here. It wasn’t much and could all easily fit into a duffel bag which he was just fine with. He got the feeling that he could not be coming back here anytime soon and things would be very different if he ever did go back.

He then headed down to the kitchen with his bag to work on a short letter to leave behind to explain that he was leaving.

Asherah felt bad about the water to the face thing. Really bad because that wasn't how a princess of Atlantis should conduct herself. Nor is it how an ally of Atlantis should be treated. So she decided that a formal apology should be made. She had some guards do the leg work for her as she prepared a nice apology gift.

Then had the guards wait for him outside of his last class for the day. They were to politely escort him to where she was very nervously waiting. Right now all she wanted to do was hide behind her hair. Say she was very sorry for embarrassing him and throwing water at him then leave quickly.

This should be easy.
