Reflections @ 05:34 pm
His third period class had just let out and Jacob was taking a break outside. He wouldn't have to go back in for at least an hour and a half. He sat at a small picnic table with his lunch and a book. Jacob wasn't much of a social butterfly and often sat by himself, as he was doing today. He took out his ham and cheese sandwich and began to eat. He thought back to his encounter with his old friend, Cindy Lord earlier that week. http://www.scribbld.com/users/atomic_leg
For years he had been successful in avoiding super-powered situations, until he ran into Cindy. As much as he dreaded the consequencse of such a meeting, it had felt good seeing one of hs old friends. He even managed to explain what happened and why he dropped out of contact. She knew where he was now, and likely so would others soon. He was sure some would not be as understanding of him abadoning them as Cindy had been. It was their right, he had not handled what happened to his dad well at all. His mother had been happy he'd reconnected with an old firend, as was his dad. Though he suspected his father was happier about the fact that Jacob had interacted with someone from the hero community. He was certain Dad wanted him to take up his costume and was disappointed that Jacob wanted nothing to do with heroing.
Jacob sighed to himself. He didn't want to ruin his meal. Perhaps i was best to not think about those kind of things right now.
