First Strike
All across the country, members of the Cult of Kobra were striking.  Technology thefts had already been on the up, as well as weapons thefts from various government depots.  The serpents struck without mercy, taking what they needed, and fleeing just as quickly.  Both Barr brothers had been dead for years, but the organization had fallen into other hands.  It was speculated that the long term goal was the selection of a new Kobra...  but in the meantime, under the guidance of someone called the Serpent Supreme, their short term goals of terror, in preparation for the coming Kali Yuga, remained unchanged.

And soon... the world would know even greater terror that it had before.

Wow, that's a lot of guns.

And usually where there's lots of guns, something interesting is going on.

Pippi really isn't sure what. Sure, pointing guns at people is supposed to usually be bad, she remembers that part. But she also knows STAR Labs - they're famous, and she recently watched a bunch of B Horror movies, so maybe these guys are just pointing lots of guns to deal with the laboratory's latest secret giant monster, and they're ok. Maybe even could use some help.

That much prompted her to wander closer... at which point, all thoughts of the good or ill to the situation go away, replaced by one deep, burning question.

"Hey Mr. Eyepatch Guy? Are you a pirate?" she asks, tapping him on the shoulder.
