It's an emotion, taking me over....
Iris laid on her stomach in her bedroom at home.

She was bored. Her homework was done, there was nothing good on t.v., and almost everyone was busy. If there was one thing that Iris hated, it was being bored. She twisted a strand of hair around her finger, looked out her window, and heaved a sigh.

Why was there never anything to do around here?

The radio, which had been playing an upbeat Taylor Swift song, suddenly cut off in the middle of the chorus.

"Word that the Rainbow Raiderettes have appeared in downtown Keystone City has reached us here at KX293 FM. The Raiderettes are currently making their way through the stores at the Golden Ridge Plaza...shoppers are in a panic...."

Iris didn't need to hear anymore. She hopped up, grinning. Finally, something to DO. Quickly changing into her Impulse costume, Iris zipped out of the house, and down to Golden Ridge Plaza. She didn't think to call Jai or her Dad.

She could take them with one hand behind her back.

She was, after all, the Fastest Girl Alive.

Despite the chaotic situation of their little 'shopping trip', the crowds around are mostly pretty sedate, and a few of the more weak willed folks, a mall cop among them, are assuring other shoppers that everything is ok, everyone needs to just stay back and it'll all be ok, and the Raiderettes can't be all that bad, right?

This, of course, is largely due to the violet mist washing over the crowd that radiates from the headpiece Pippi is wearing. She's not even really trying to affect the crowd, any more, she and the really awesome headpiece no one else wants have gotten pretty well bonded. She has her own focus... which, of course, is totally different than anyone else's, even of her own crew.

"Look!" she squeals. "Neo-Pets are ON SALE! Can I have one, Mitzi, plleeease?!"

She blinks. One can almost see the wheels turning. Or the overworked guinea pig trying to make the wheel turn.

"But... rob a toy store?"

But there's teddy bears. And neo-pets. Maybe she can steal just one stuffed kitty... that one wants to come home with her.
And then there's the neo-pet she's been looking for! *squeeaaal!*
Oh, and that new video game where you raise all the fuzzy, adorable little creatures! AND its on sale! Perfect!

The guinea pig gives up and goes on his coffee break.

"They are not! You just don't appreciate cute." she responds, losing her train of thought amidst trying to do two things at once, like snuggling a stuffed kitten and talking at the same time.

"Besides, I only have..." She starts counting on her fingers... runs out when she realizes she'd have to drop the kitten to go higher, ponders taking off a shoe, remembers her numbers. "Eight."

	She picks up a stuffed beagle, considers it, then looks to the stuffed kitty. "What do you think, Mr. Whiskers? No... ok, how about..." she picks up a stuffed pug, then holds it out towards Mandy. "That's a great idea!" Pippi chimes in, and proceeds to start robbing the toy store... skipping back and forth from it to the startled, surprisingly non-plussed crowd, handing out stuffed toys and video games to all the kids, so it will be fair, and she won't get things when all the other kids don't, or something.
Somehow, it makes perfect sense to her to make criminal accomplices of all of the twelve-years old and under crowd in the mall, as she and her new sidekick Mr. Whiskers proceed to rob the toy store.

And get ice cream.

	Mitzi's family rarely had money for nice things, so when the girls decided on a shopping trip, she decided going was better than being left out. She loved Forever 21 anyway, and showed up with a couple bags laden with merchandise. "Best. Trip. Ever." she smiles. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
