"I kept mine on for you. Because I don't want to move too quickly and do anything to frighten you away." whispers Avalon back, before he leans more weight to Josh's chest and shifts himself about in idle pleasure at the other boy's words.
"They're certainly interesting." he agrees, before giving Josh a shy expression and then admitted, "Growing up.. it was hard. They made me different and I'm lucky that I wasn't separated from my mother and father. That protected me, to a certain extent.. as much as they could protect me, anyway.."
He gives a rather shaky smile, then says softly "The worst was when they cut my primary feathers and grounded me for about a year.. until they grew back."
