Also after the party
Josh enjoyed the party. He really did even if it was mood whiplash all night. But now...now he just can't take it anymore.

Katima and Henry...the sounds they make...the way it all feels to his extra sense.

Josh can only sit in his room depressed and blushing for so long. He reaches his breaking point and goes off in search of Avalon.

"Ava?" he asks, following his senses outside to the winged Lantern.

	Avalon is wisely outside. Where he can't hear them quite as much. "Oh, hey Josh." he says, his smile a bit, the expression strained. He sees the look on Josh's face, and rushes over to him, his hands coming to cup the taller boy's shoulders. "Josh, are you okay?" he asks, his face worried and serious. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Josh is a little startled by the rushing but he doesn't say anything. Once Avalon is close, Josh moves in and grabs him in a hug. "It's cold..." he trails off quietly, not quite wanting to talk about what's bothering him just yet. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Oblivious in his own right, though really it's more a case of being blinded by his own innocence, Avalon wraps himself around Josh without another though. Silver feathers close around Josh's sides, the long stiff primary feathers crossing behind him and brushing against his knees.

Avalon doesn't understand what's driving Josh, only that his friend is in pain. Slender long fingers raise up, and trail over Josh's face, as f Avalon could feel what was causing Josh so much pain. Really the touching helped him delve in deeper with his empathy, to sense better what's bothering Josh.

Josh shivers slightly at the feel of the feathers against his knees. It tickles. And he's out there in just pajama pants and a t-shirt.

He may not be saying it but it's Henry that's bothering Josh. He's hurt and deeply so. The healer honestly thought that Henry wanted him as more than a one-night fling. He was also rather bothered by how much Henry seemed to be hurting Ava.

"Thanks...I forgot a sweatshirt. And shoes..." the barefoot healer murmurs.

	Avalon's eyes turn towards the seconds story of the house. And the sounds. He then looks back to Josh, making eye contact with the other boy as he says softly "It's okay Josh.. I'm here for you." It was the house, or rather what was going on in it, that was bothering them both. Avalon tugs Josh towards a place to sit in the garden, away from the house. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	When Josh meets Ava's eyes, he remembers about the alien lantern's empathic ability. "Thank you, Ava..." he trails off. The healer lets himself be led, sitting with Avalon and leaning against him. "I'm sorry," he whispers. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Why are you sorry? You did nothing." Replies Avalo with a smile. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm glad you came to find me."

Avalon starts to fuss over Josh a bit, his hands skimming down the other boy's chest lightly. "Do not be hurt," he murmurs, "I am here, you are not alone in this." Avalon smirks a bit, then murmurs "What can I do?"

As they sit, he tugs himself closer, draping his wings around Josh's back and into his lap. The boy's arms slip around Josh's middle as well, and Avalon gives Josh a warm hug.

	"That you're hurt," Josh replies quietly. "By him...by anything stupid me did or said," he takes a quick deep breath. "Glad I found you." He blushes faintly at the fussing and hugging. Avalon beams a smile to Josh, brightening quite visibly. He then looks towards his hands a bit shyly, ocean colored eyes peeking at Josh through the fringe of his lashes.

"You didn't hurt me, Josh. Right now, you're about the only thing keeping me sane." he then says. Sighing, he bites at his bottom and then says softly "You have been the most wonderful surprise, since I came to Earth. Without you, I'd be sitting alone most days.. and nights.."

"I think that you worry too much, sometimes." replies Avalon, as he settles in against Josh, and turns his face towards the stars.

"I don't understand Earth, but I'm starting to think that no one here understands things either. It's not my place to pass judgment on anyone, but I don't think what is going on around this house is correct on any level. I'm glad that I'm not the only one though.. I thought I was just not understanding what was going on around me."

He then frowns, "My translator has been malfunctioning. I think that the usage of some words conflicts with what I know them to mean."

"Humans use words differently." replies Avalon. "They also see things differently. I've noticed that humans put a lot of distinction on fidelity between two people."

Avalon looks to Josh then, his expression confused as he asks "Do humans not feel love for more than one person? I.. never heard of that quirk, but I know that some races do bond in such a way that they only have eyes for one other.. but.. Henry certainly isn't like that, so it confuses me."

	Josh gives Avalon a little partial-pout as he's teased. "If it doesn't matter that much to you, why're you still wearing anything?" he teases back. The healer's eyes go wide at the sight of Ava's wings at full spread. "Wow..." he trails off. As the wings wrap around him, Josh shivers from the tickle. "Your wings are amazing." 	Josh smiles. "Well thank you but it'll take more than a hot, naked you to scare me," he says, leaning in for a quick little kiss. He winces slightly and hugs Avalon close. "I'm sorry that happened," he says quietly. "My powers and...how I was living made me different growing up as well." The healer smiles and then leans in for another kiss. 	Avalon smirks all the more, and he threads his fingers through Josh's hair and draws him close as he leans in for a kiss. "You shouldn't be afraid to talk about your past, Josh. 	"Okay.. Okay okay.." Avalon laughs once the kiss ends, and extracts himself enough from Josh to get the offending pants off. He gives them a fling towards the shore and then smirks playfully at Josh for about five seconds before he starts splashing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Josh keeps laughing as they splash one another, rather enjoying himself. He jumps when Avalon dunks himself. He's not ready for that himself. He waits for the winged man to resurface and swallows. The healer ends up staring at the soaked Ava. "No..." he shakes his head. "You look wonderful," he says, pulling Ava into another kiss once he's close enough. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
