To be fair it wasn't the first time they had gone out. But that didn't make asking her out as easy as people would assume it'd be.
He's aware this can be seen as a cowardly way of doing things. But really he thought of it as a safe way for her to reject him if she wanted, and it'd be easier on both of them if he did it this way and she decided the answer was no. There'd been a Valentine's Day card along with a small pack of her favourite sweets slipped under her door yesterday (it was rude to just enter or teleport in and leave it there) asking if she was free today. If she was, and he'd take her arriving at the scheduled time as a yes if she did decide to go out with him, then all was good. If she decided no, well Harry figures that he'd rather be stood up and it'd be an easier way for her to reject him. He really hoped it didn't cause her too much trouble. She'd been the one to ask him out before so maybe he'd get a yes...
Harry gives her bedroom door a quiet knock and waits with baited breath.
