Jon is tiring. He's hurt, he's exhausted, he's taken big hits, and while at a disadvantage regardless, it would be far worse, possibly giving him no chance, had he not taken advantage of Henshaw's ego - and resulting tactical mistake, targeting Heather instead of him.
All or nothing time. He puts all his remaining solar power enhancement into one big punch, wearing himself out utterly to launch one thunderous punch, trying to take advantage of all his focus, and the earlier precision shot to the back of the neck - an uppercut, specifically, trying to separate Henshaw's head from his body.
Hit or miss, sink or swim, after the punch, he ends up tumbling end over end to crash to the ground, breathing hard.
