Jon and Maria kill about half an hour or so waiting before the clack-y sound of roller skates on pavement heralds Alina's arrival. She skates in a circle around them to shed some of her momentum before coming to a stop in front of them.
That there's a blue beetle painted on the helmet of her Roller Derby costume really shouldn't be a surprise. Nor should it be a surprise that she's gone with a black and blue (and white) color scheme. The glitter might be unexpected, though. And maybe the tutu.
"Hey guys." She winks at Jon. "I see someone was very creative with his costuming this year."
