Dinadan does as he's told, returning to the blanket and reaching into the basket to find the sunscreen. He still has the remains of his summer tan, but showing up with a sunburn after having been out "sick" would be a little difficult to explain.
He makes sure that he leaves enough for Petra. With her skin tone, she'd definitely burn worse than he ever would.
He also keeps an ear out for the sounds of approach. Some habits don't die at all.
