The headquarters of the YJLA

For a moment, all was quiet and dark in the headquarters of the YJLA. Sophisticated monitoring equipment kept track of emergencies around the world and in near-space, all quietly humming away into the night.

The quiet was suddenly broken by a crackle of green light, briefly illuminating the entire meeting room in its verdant glow. The glow subsided after a moment, coalescing into a single figure out a little blue man, the symbol of the Blue Lanterns glowing upon his chest. His expression was far from unreadable; in fact, he looked rather worried, as though the weight of the universe was bearing down upon him.

There was little he liked about this. He would have preferred to bring his Blue Lanterns into this, but without a Green to work with, their powers were limited. And they could not work with the Green Lanterns on this. Not until he had had time to persuade them that this course of action was the correct one. They would act hastily. And though they would not admit it, they would be acting from emotion. Things rarely went well when his brothers acted upon their little understood emotions.

Instead, he reached out with the Green power that was still his birthright and rather unceremoniously brought each member of the Young Justice League to their headquarters.

	Petra dodges a blast that goes through one of the constructs and nearly hits her, then drops to one knee. She puts both her palms against the ground and spreads out patches of ice underneath the robots, particularly the one fighting the ~~crazy~~ girl. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Its footing undone by Petra's ice, the Manhunter robot's chest was slashed open by Saishu's strike, spilling circuits and wires on the sand. One of the others fired on Petra. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Saishu lunges... directly into the blast aimed for Petra. She's not about to allow one of her allies to get killed for helping her, even if she doesn't know her. Sisterhood was part of the Bana as well.

While she deflects the worst of it off the blade, part washes over the edge and hits her. While their weapons are intended for lanterns, and she can't ignore it entirely, the biggest visible effect is that it seems to make her angrier.

"Pin the downed one before it recovers, I get this one." she manages to yell over the din of battle, doing her best with the heavily accented, clumsy English.

	Petra nods and gives her new comrade a confident wink, sensing that language barriers may come up. Focusing quickly, she reabsorbs some of the discarded ice to stave off dehydration, and then raises her hands over her head. A massive ice hammer forms in her grip, and she grunts as she puts her own leverage into swinging it down on the damaged Manhunter. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

This has potential. the girl takes tactical guidance, and this odd power is versatile.

"Only two left, can you guard our flank?" she asks, as she lunges in at the one up close to her. She does her best to trade blows, letting herself get hit in exchange for getting a clear shot at her attacker in turn.
The Manhunter's blow hurts... quite a bit, even. But she finds, as her rage has grown, she's feeling it less, moving faster, hitting harder - and her sword glows with the power of the red. Right now, she'll take the pain, let it feed her, and put everything she can into a return assault.

	"I'm all over it like Green Arrow on tits and a pulse." Petra responds, raising a semi-circular ice-wall and readying a spear for anything that comes around one side of it, putting her back to her her new friend letting her cover the other side. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Saishu sees the faint red on the other side of the wall, hears the pounding, then grins wickedly at Petra.

"I surprise robot from above, you make sure this one stays down?"

She launches upward in a super-strength powered leap... a little surprised when she finds herself... flying... odd.

Thankfully, all she has to do from there is stop flying, drawing a second blade, and dropping down from above, weapons downward, towards the Manhunter as he works on finishing breaking the ice wall.

Saishu slams her blades into it again and again, having only limited idea of what robots might or might not get up from. She's heard bad stories. Besides, this lets her expend a little more of that rage.

The hits start to ache a little as it dies down, but overall, she feels pretty good. Thrill of the fight.

"Now, who was... who you said you were? Someone famous?"

	Petra brushes her hands off, then reabsorbs as much of the moisture as possible. More robots might be on the way. She extends a hand to the girl. "Icemaiden, member of the Young Justice League. 	Petra pulls the girl closer and guides her to have them both lace arms around each others waists. "Here we go." She bends her knees slightly out of habit, then launches them skyward in a straight line, cutting off propulsion once they're high enough, then taking off in another straight line back towards headquarters. 	Saishu gets used to this pretty quick, and the rigors of flight don't bother her any, blowing her hair a little, and otherwise just making her look forward to practicing this flying thing more. For now, she just holds on tight. (Reply to this)(Parent)
