Call to Arms
The headquarters of the YJLA

For a moment, all was quiet and dark in the headquarters of the YJLA. Sophisticated monitoring equipment kept track of emergencies around the world and in near-space, all quietly humming away into the night.

The quiet was suddenly broken by a crackle of green light, briefly illuminating the entire meeting room in its verdant glow. The glow subsided after a moment, coalescing into a single figure out a little blue man, the symbol of the Blue Lanterns glowing upon his chest. His expression was far from unreadable; in fact, he looked rather worried, as though the weight of the universe was bearing down upon him.

There was little he liked about this. He would have preferred to bring his Blue Lanterns into this, but without a Green to work with, their powers were limited. And they could not work with the Green Lanterns on this. Not until he had had time to persuade them that this course of action was the correct one. They would act hastily. And though they would not admit it, they would be acting from emotion. Things rarely went well when his brothers acted upon their little understood emotions.

Instead, he reached out with the Green power that was still his birthright and rather unceremoniously brought each member of the Young Justice League to their headquarters.

"This is more serious than you realize, Petra Gardner," Ganthet begins.

As he begins to speak, he brings up a hand, occasionally illustrating an important point in his story with green images.

"During the second Blackest Night, as you know, the Entities of the Emotional Spectrum were captured and imprisoned. The Butcher. Ophidian. Paralax. Ion. Adara. Proselyte. And the Predator. Though they were freed, through the efforts of Lanterns, both selected and deputized, they did not make it through those events unscathed.

"A small portion of each Entity was separated from it, cast adrift into the cosmos. Those fragments have been drawn here, to Earth. As the likes of Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan did once play host to the Entities themselves, so too shall the souls of Earthmen draw in these fragments.

"It will transform them into something new... something beyond human. The next step in the evolution of the human race. They will have the potential to bring greatness upon this world.

"But they may not get a chance to. My own communion with Adara brought this to my attention, but my Brothers are just as watchful of Ion. Worse, Hank Henshaw, the Grandmaster of the Manhunters, has also learned of this. Brother Warth of my Corps reported their movements to me.

"We have little time. The Manhunters will wish to kill them. And my Brothers will wish to claim them for their own. Neither of these things must come to pass."

He projected a map, seven points illuminated. "I have found the paths they will take. You must find them and protect them."
