Alina winces again. She really wishes she could think of something to say to Heather to make her feel better about her new situation, but her head's aching too badly to come up with anything beyond "it could be worse"; and no one ever needs to hear that.

"There might be something we can do to put it back together," she says, holding out a hand for Heather to take. "After the immediate situation is dealt with. Anything you want to grab before we go? Change of clothes, stuffed animal...?"
