Their shields may help protect them from impacts, but once he's past that, he's still orders of magnitude stronger than they are, robot bodies and all. When one grapples him, Jon tries to tear it in two. He's still engaged here, not noticing the third, nor experienced enough with manhunters to know their usual groups.
