"Today District Attorney Ruben Harrington said today that he is certain that the individuals arrested earlier this month on corruption charges will be found guilty after their trials of which the first starts tomorrow. The individuals arrested included prominent political figures including long time Gotham Selectman Stanley Morse and Selectman Terrance Bentley. The trial for Stanley Morse starts tomorrow and will be the first of many trials.

DA Harrington pledged to help clean up Gotham at the start of his tenure as district attorney and according to him this is just the first step. He has sworn that all criminals of all kinds, whether they be drug dealers or corrupt politicians, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and there will be no leniency. Is our District Attorney trying to singlehandedly trying to clean up Gotham? He hasn't commented on his view about Gotham's caped community or what he intends to do about them if anything."

	Evan charged from his spot. A right hook brought down one, while a roundhouse kick sent another flying. He quickly knelt down, delivering a few quick blows to knock them out. When done, he moved on seamlessly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Stop them!" Cady Morse yelled to the other Royal Flush gang members around her. The lightly armored men went for the capes that suddenly appeared. They were all on small platforms that were capable of flight.

The one Huntress tried to kick in the head blocked her kick and delivered a punch.

The one Robin knocked to the ground rolled and came up on his feet. He aimed a blaster wand at Robin.

The two that Evan hit went down and were still, but the armor and light helmets they wore absorbed some of the blows. They were still for a second and after Evan moved on they moved and aimed their blaster wands at his back.

	The punch landed and Huntress stumbled back a few steps. The guy pulled out some sort of blaster wand and took aimed. Huntress dived to the side. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Robin springs back and does a few flips to the side to avoid the blasts. He throws a few batarangs aiming to knock the blaster wand away. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Evan turns to Ezra, nodding, pushing a quick "TY" into his arm. He pulls out his guns, loaded with the impact bullets. He fires at the other thugs, hoping to dislodge their "wands". (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The thrown batarang hit the balster wand and the thing went flying from the man's hand.

Cady formed three shadow constructs and sent them after the capes. She grabbed the woman and the girl and started moving them toward a door.

The two thugs that Evan hit were stunned for a few moments. One of the other two already lost his blaster wand and took the impact bullets to the hand. The other one got hit in the hand and the blaster wand fell to the floor.

	"No problem," he calls back. Now what were the new things? Shadows? First to finish the thugs then deal with those guys. Robin dives forward aiming a punch to the head of the nearest one, using it as a feint so he can sweep his legs out from under him in another move. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Cady pulled out a blaster wand and aimed at shot at the man coming toward her.

The kick landed and the man was knocked back a few steps. He didn't go down and once he regained his footing he went after the masked woman.

The one Robin was dealing with had his legs taken out from under him and fell to the ground.

The kicks and punches by Evan went through the shadows. Since he was close a shadow hand solidified for a brief moment and delivered a punch.

	The punch connected. It was hard enough to hurt, but Evan had been hit a lot harder than that. He couldn't beat these things conventionally. He'd have to go for the source. He decides to follow after Ezra. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The guy facing off against Huntress started to have spasms and fell to the ground. Robin's guy fell unconscious. Cady dodged the blow and the blaster stayed in her hand. With the guy so close, she tried to deliver a kick to the guy. One shadow construct went after Evan. The other two split and one went after Huntress and the other after Robin. The flash grenades went off and blinding light tore through the shadow constructs. When the light died the shadows were no more. The guys were blinded for a few moments.

Cady had closed her eyes when the shout went out. She quickly assessed the situation and knew it would not end well. She hit a small electronic device and a moment she disappeared leaving the woman and child behind.
