Yo Ho Ho And a Bottle Of Rum
Cait sat in a lotus position on the beach with her eyes closed. The waves washed up on the shore and soaked her, but it didn't register in her mind. Not that she ever minded being wet. She did get strength from the water and today she needed all of her strength and more, physical and mental.

Ty was starting an interview at Star Labs for a position, something he had worked so hard for, and Cait was trying to help keep him centered enough to get through it. The bond that they usually shared was stronger than it had ever been and Cait was still struggling. They were linked so strongly that she could almost hear, smell, see and feel everything he was experiencing. She had never been so far into some other living being's mind before. She could almost imagine the headache that would come after this.

"You're doing fine." Her mental 'voice' was as soothing as she could make it and she exerted as much control as she could through the link. "We can do this."

	Supergirl speeds into the room and the conversation. "You know, I don't really want to bet Cait's life on that, especially when some of Ty's manifestations aren't known for taking his wishes into account on how women should be treated." she says. She still has flashbacks to the whole Fu-Manchu Mustache of Inappropriate Touching and shudders involuntarily. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Maybe that wasn't as comforting a thought as some people wanted, but it was how Steve saw it.

"He's clearly more concerned with hurting us, in any case," he said. "Otherwise he wouldn't have bothered to show up here. And I doubt he thinks we're willing to play along with the wedding, so let's try to focus on that."

	"Avast, ye swabs, here they come!" he calls. He can scry too. And he was expecting them. He may not know a lot of the Titans personally, but he's aware of their capabilities, and tried to build for them in his robots. He turns back, mind controlling Cait to walk down the aisle. "Yarrr... 	Jo nods and speeds downstairs, leaping onto the ship to do battle with the robots. She slugs the closet one and realies that these things won't go down as easily as she thought. Still, she's going to soak up some damage while her teammates get into position. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Ty turns to grin at the Titans. "Ye'll be just in time to witness the marriage to the Pirate's bride!" he calls, erecting a force field around the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the robots begin breaking out new weapons. Psychic screamers to hurt and distract psychics, red sun radiation in Jo's general direction, wide beam weapons to make things a little harder on Iris.

The robots aren't invulnerable - he lacked the material for that, but they're definitely better, and more customized than bargain basement minions.

The Captain robot continues the ceremony behind the force field.

	Jarrod compartmentalized his mind to deal with the psychic countermeasure. He considered himself lucky he wasn't using those powers right now. He focused his aura on Ty that would cause waves of calming and tranquil feeling to wash over his mind to give it peace. He was leaving the talking to Iris and Ruth. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The device may not work perfectly - but it does clearly have an effect. There is massive feedback down the link, quite possibly destroying the machine... but for the moment, Ty's hands are shaking - clear sign that he's fighting it - and Cait's mind is clear. Likewise, while the physical barrier doesn't end, the blocks on his mind disappear amidst the conflict.

If they're quick, now might be the time to try and re-anchor him... but, of course, Cait probably isn't calm enough to do that right now.

That, and he's not controlling the pirates - the robots are continuing to attack, changing their attack type to try and account for each individual Titan as they become aware of them.
