Yo Ho Ho And a Bottle Of Rum
Cait sat in a lotus position on the beach with her eyes closed. The waves washed up on the shore and soaked her, but it didn't register in her mind. Not that she ever minded being wet. She did get strength from the water and today she needed all of her strength and more, physical and mental.

Ty was starting an interview at Star Labs for a position, something he had worked so hard for, and Cait was trying to help keep him centered enough to get through it. The bond that they usually shared was stronger than it had ever been and Cait was still struggling. They were linked so strongly that she could almost hear, smell, see and feel everything he was experiencing. She had never been so far into some other living being's mind before. She could almost imagine the headache that would come after this.

"You're doing fine." Her mental 'voice' was as soothing as she could make it and she exerted as much control as she could through the link. "We can do this."

He tries to steel himself to that, not make things worse.

"Of course, love. We'll get through this. Then hopefully we can go get pizza and relax for a while." he adds.

He heads for the interview.

It takes more than three nerve wracking hours. They have to not only do the usual questions, but have numerous of their people look at some of his initial proofs and calculations - not enough to steal his work, but verifying its merits. The pressure is immense - but he holds, with her help.

	Cait was exhausted by the time the interview was over, but they got through it. She was going to have a headache the size of the Pacific, but it was worth it. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for Ty. "See? That wasn't so hard. It was as easy as a walk along the beach." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He was focusing heavily on getting through it. So was she. While it was a relief, no question. He's just starting to settle, when he's met near the doors.

"Just one more thing..." the man says. There's a couple of follow up questions. He manages, but he's exhausted, mentally, and stammering. As he staggers out the door, both of their resolve is having trouble picking back up.

His hands are shaking. Badly.

"No... oh no..."

"Cait...."

His mental voice starts to fade, then, there's one last comment.

"Yarrrrr!"

And the link snaps.

	"TY!" she yelled before the link severed. There was some backlash and it felt like someone drove a piece of coral into her skull. Dread washed over her. She knew what that "Yarrr!" meant. It was one of her worst nightmares, Ty's as well. By the gods of the underworld. She hated Captain Stingaree. Cait stood up. It was time to go find Ty and his pirate alter-ego. Its not time to find him, not yet.

Last time, a yellow pirate ship suited, and Ty was mostly himself, just restricted to acting like a pirate. This time, the manifestation is stronger, the strong bond formed, and perhaps Ty and Cait's own strong emotions where Capt. Stingaree was concerned helped it along.

He flies out over the ocean, using magic to find what he's looking for - and then telekinesis. The pirate ship sunk with all hands aboard due to damage, and overloading themselves with gold - the former is fixable enough, and he can keep the ship afloat despite the latter, it just means he'll be a little distracted.

He has his ship - now he needs a crew. For that, the geniuses in Ty's brain consult, and begin the plans for just the thing. It will be a while while Cait and whoever she can gather search - while Ty builds suitable robot pirates to help him command the seas, just like the olden days.

Cait headed straight for Titan's Tower and for a second she thought about raising the alarm, but this was Captain Stingaree the world's worst pirate. She did however send a message through the comms for people to gather so she could explain what was going on.

Her headache slammed against her skull, but it could wait. They had a Captain Stingaree problem to deal with.

	Jarrod didn't react to the joke. He just opened his mind to telepathically look for signs of Ty or the types of things he might be up to. He didn't look directly for Ty's mind. There were somethings he didn't want in his head with his powers. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The psychics get flashes - and a distinct sign that he's using Hector Hammond's powers to prevent himself being found so easily.

He may be manifesting Stingaree, but that doesn't mean he's not without his other abilities. Otherwise, he'd only be as dangerous as, well, Captain Stingaree.

Meanwhile, out of sight, he continues work on building his crew, making sure, since he knows he's being sought out, that they'll make a reasonable match for the Titans - so he can make sure he has time to marry his bride - his plans with Cait are far from done.
