AJ is so baffled by what he sees that he hardly has time to react. Desperate, he holds his sword up to protect himself, and the skull smashes against him. The bone shatters and splinters and AJ is left stunned and beaten.
"D-Damnit..." He slowly starts to sink towards the ocean floor, hand still clenching his weapon. His psychic link to the sharks fades, and the creatures flee from the stranger out of instinct.
