She wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly for a few moments. She let him go and gave him a big smile. There would have been a big kiss to go along with the hug, but she knew some manner of decorum had to be maintained.
"It went much better than expected. Cerdian and I don't have to marry each other. At least right now. The council is giving us a year to see how the people react to me being with you."
