Rex /did/ need the money, but something about this didn't feel right to him. Owing his sister's girlfriend money wasn't something he was keen on. Cindy being a Lord had finally dropped to the around the second or third most problematic thing about her. He was more worried about the amount of time they spent together, which Rex felt was too much.
"You...do realize that your father and I don't like each other, right? He insulted my sister and I can't imagine that he'd support you supporting me. Nic hasn't mentioned Max taking out his anger on her, which I'd hope wasn't happening.
I'd like to think you wouldn't let that happen." Rex says.
