A resolution, but at what price?
Michael was glad that the crap that had been happening was now all but over, but now he finds himself rather...well, depressed isn't the right word. That has waaaaay too many connotations for him than he's comfortable with. Melancholy? Meh. He really doesn't know the right word for it, but its obviously negative but its not as crushing.

Not like the whole situation with Briana.

So, after going through his phone, he settles on a single number. This person has been a friend of his since he began his side project (hobby? whatever), and she did have an interest in what was happening, albeit indirect.

So Michael makes a call to one Miss Lord.

She lets him help himself. "I am. Hoping for a happy ending, of course, but I'm willing to take plenty of definitions of 'happy'. But the most important thing is, you took the first step. I take it your Matrix idea had some kind of ... complications? You didn't try to force things, did you? Jai's head seemed pretty well firmly up his ass last few times I saw him. I always thought he was better than that."

"Yeah, it was the Matrix idea. And, well, apparently that head up Jais ass wasn't just Jais. The Black lantern he was was in there, too. I guess that that other Jai was influencing him, and seeing the other personality in the Matrix put it together."

Michael clenched his hand a bit.

"We fought within the Matrix after Ronnie found it. The bastard knocked Ronnie out of the Matrix after Ronnie cut it off of Jai. It-"

Another pause.

"It tried to come after us all, saying the same crap that they have said before. I...I burned it. I don't know what happened, but I did. Within the Matrix."

"Yeah, he is. Because he has so much experience with the Matrix, its like losing a cell signal to him. I was able to get a hold of him not too long afterwards, when the whole thing was over."

Michael takes a breath.

"Well, after the DeadJai was taken care of, we all promised to talk to one another after this. Jai and Traya went to talk to one another about it, and eventually Traya and Jai will talk with me when the time comes."

Michael gives kind of a weird smile.

"Also, that idea, about the emotion sharing? It worked a little too well. Our minds touched instantly. I saw everything Jai and Traya went through these last couple months. It...it was a lot."

"Yeah, that'd be pretty intense." Especially with Michael's feelings and such in relation to everything. She claps a hand on his shoulder sympathetically.

"But the important thing is that you're all talking. I don't give a damn if she takes him back, but I'm glad this shunning Traya like she's Hester Freaking Prynne crap is over and the guilty party has... apparently been fried, which is kinda nice, in its way." She grinned, then sighed. "How're you holding up, Michael?"

	"Well, I found out what Traya felt for me, which was friendship and nothing more. So I'm gonna step back from that kind of stuff. I'm 'Oh' for 'Two' now when it comes to ladies, and I have a lot more important things to deal with right now," Michael said, taking a quick swig of whatever this drink was. It was sweet and good. "My first girlfriend was a crazy bitch who threatened me with fishhooks. the second gal I've been interested in...well, you know. 'Oh' for 'Two'," Michael says as he sits down. Well, perhaps sits isn't quite the right word. He sort of slumps down.

"Still, in this second one, it's right for me to step aside. If Jai and Traya don't get back together, then I have a chance, if I wanted to take it. If they do then at least I'm not involved in a love triangle anymore."
