	Allanah gets to work, doing what she was born to do. "KF, do a runaround. Traya, take Atom in and try to see what defenses we need to knock out. Lantern, take defense until we know more!" Speedy nods approvingly at Allanah, scanning all the hallways leading away from their present location. The tracking device has them within five meters of Cait's friend, and presumably the rest of the people Mongul has captured, but she doesn't know how far that is from Mongul and his hordes, so they could have company anywhere from immediately to a couple of minutes from-

**BOOM**

A wall disintegrates behind the heroes, pouring hordes of parademons through it. Speedy lets out a curse that her father would either be proud of or ground her for, and fires a net arrow at the first rank. On contact it's designed to emit a charge ranging from ten thousand volts for your average attack dog up to half a million volts for your average telepathic silver-backed gorilla.

It's not set for puppies.

"My team, ENGAGE! Form a sem-circle with them at the middle, and don't let any of them through. Kid Flash, we need speedster assistance here."

	Henry knows his job. He flies towards Mongul, careful to aim his impact for Mongul's purple clothing, not his yellow skin. He's still not sure how to affect yellow, but he'll figure it out. Henry will quickly find that the shields Mongul has up also make it very difficult to target him accurately, as if the yellow aura, however faint, were partially blocking his ring.
He takes the hit without moving, like crashing into a brick wall. One fist swings at Henry. "I remember you, you're the whelp I tossed from Jordan's plane. So, you have a ring too, and think that makes you Hal Jordan? I will enjoy crushing your spirit."

	The combination of water and wind opens a path through the masses, most of whom have turned their attentions on the massed forms firing explosives and star blasts at them, leaving only a few ranks the girls need to fight past to get into the deeper recesses of the base. Lian throws herself behind a rock out-cropping as the shock wave throws parademons like bowling pins. A second later Ty rips a door off its hinges next to the corridor Cait went down, and Lian's eyes widen.

"Rally on me! Everyone!" Lian yells, popping a phosphorous flare alight as a rally point as she triggers the communication device on her ear. The parademons are regrouping, but their big gun turned out to be even bigger than she expected, and that gives them an oppurtunity.

"Atom and Lantern, disengage and leave him to Ty. Atom, go look for the adults. Everyone else- let's take out the trash."

Ty nods to Lian. One hand glows violet with pseudo-magical energy, the other glows yellow, and his eyes go blank again. He nods gratefully to Lian, then turns his full attention on Mongul.

"You." he says, pointing at Mongul, blasting from both hands. "Let's go."

He just wishes he was as confident as he sounds. Its only Cait's support that's keeping him steady - but she believes in him. He can do this.

Fortunately, Henry's shield had held up under Mongul slamming a couple tons of rock on top of it; and then Ty had stepped in to draw the super villain's attention while Henry and Dinadan beat feet in pursuit of their next goal: Finding their parents.

Dinadan glances back over his shoulder and very nearly slams into a wall. Reminding himself that now is not the time for any spectacularly clumsy stunts, he tightens his grip on the laser and starts paying more attention to the hallway in front of them. If he were keeping their parents prisoner, where would he put them...?

"Think you can find, I don't know, a control room or something?" he asks breathlessly. "'Cause my next choice is run around kicking doors in and hoping we don't bring anything else down on our heads."

Dinadan is hunched over in a corner of the room he'd found the gloves in, still fiddling with his. He thinks better in small spaces as far as he's concerned, especially when exposure might be a few less seconds between a parademon or worse entering the room and him getting shot at. And frankly right now, he needs all of the extra seconds he can get.

"Come on you stupid piece of--"

Something clicks into place, and the gloves make a thruming noise as they begin to glow.

"--Please tell me that's good."

Dinadan cringes expectantly, but after a few seconds of the gloves not exploding, he snatches them up and shoots up to his feet -- and whacks his head against the edge of the table. "Ow!"

There's some blood leaking out from under his hair when he pelts back into the room where he left Henry, but that can be dealt with when the adults are all freed from Black Mercy. "I got the gloves!"

Arthur sat on the throne in the main hall in Poseidionis and looked over at his wife. When Mera looked over at him he smiled.

"They will be here soon. You know how children are and they probably have a tale to tell of some grand adventure," she told him as they waited for the young Atlanteans to arrive in the great hall. Today was the day of the official announcement of Arthur Jr. as being the heir to the throne.

"I know," Arthur said as he took one of Mera's hands in his own.

Things were perfect for the king of Atlantis. His wife of many decades sat beside him on the throne as queen and his three children had grown up into fine adults. All of Atlantis' enemies were incarcerated and peace reigned in his kingdom for the first time in many millennia.

Arthur Jr. was the eldest and heir to the throne. He was everything a father could ask for in a son. Strong and brave, but compassionate and caring not to mention wise beyond his young years. Arthur Jr. would make a fine king after Arthur.

Koryak had adapted to life in Atlantis rather well and was nothing but supportive of his older brother. The two were almost inseparable and got along like two brothers who had grown up together. The curse of two brothers fighting for Atlantis had finally been broken.

Caitria, the apple of his eye, had grown into a beautiful young woman and was taking an interest in Atlantean politics. One day she'd make a good adviser to her brother and with any luck she would find a nice man and marry.

Things couldn't get more perfect.

A flash of green caught Cait's eye and for a moment she thought it was Henry, but when she looked over it wasn't Henry. It was his dad, Hal. Henry and Dinadan had found the adults and had been successful in waking them up. This was definitely good news and much needed help.

She smiled and whipped a tentacle of water at a few parademons.

/The adults are waking up/ she sent to Ty. /Just hold in there a little longer./
