Happy birthday! (April 22nd)
It had been tricky, but after doing a lot of digging, Lian had managed to find out when Calypso's birthday was.

And no, she did not attempt to bake a cake. The last time that happened...well it hadn't exactly gone over well. Her father still said he could smell the scent of charred chocolate cake mix in the kitchen. Instead, Lian had gone out earlier and sprung for catering and a cake at the bakery down the street from her apartment that she had taken Cal to when she was living with her when she first arrived in Star City.

For Christmas, Lian had gotten her a cellphone. This time she bought her some new clothes. Yes, she was on a budget, but she did manage to get her friend a couple of nice outfits.

Lian told the other Outsiders that she planned on celebrating Calypso's birthday and were welcome to celebrate with her, if they wanted to. She set the food out on the kitchen counter and went to go find the birthday girl, gift in hand.

	Of course, Calypso knew nothing about this. Lian hadn't bugged Calypso about when her birthday was, so she must have dug the info out of that kid from the JSA. Power Girl's kid. Calypso's mom was still best friends with Karen, after all. Lian could find Calypso in the basement, though. Where she always was. (Reply to this)(Thread)

"How did she...?" Calypso didn't know how they figured it out, but the gifts were nice. Especially the geodes. Max might have noticed a sparkle in her eyes when she saw them.

"Ah, geodes," she said, using her powers to lift them into the air. She shaved off the outer layer of rock and banding and inverted the crystals mid-air. They were magnificent. She took note of the amethyst, Celestine, calcite, gypsum.

"Thank you, Q. These are beautiful."

She kept the banding, of course. There was jasper and agate, mostly, which she could reform into something interesting.

Honestly, this was like jewelry to Calypso.

	Crap. What didja get a girl for her birthday? Flowers? Girls liked flowers, right? So lots of flowers had to be even better. The bigger the bouquet the better, right? Yeah. Lots of flowers.
