Double Date.
Finally, it was going to happen. The restaurant she'd booked came with countless high recommendations -- although a few complaints about the price tag that Cindy could happily ignore. It was a half bar, half 'soul food' establishment. And that included a great deal of cooking with bacon. And tonight was Karaoke night.

This was going to be fun.

She arrived at the browstone to pick up her girlfriend and their co-daters.

	"Aw, thanks, Steven." Cindy smiles and clings to Nic's arm, and off they go. There's a small line coming out of the place, but Cindy waltzes up and mentions their reservations and their whisked right in. Service is good. There are small kosher and vegetarian warnings on the menu because the vast majority of dishes are cooked with bacon. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Bacon cheeseburger, two patties, extra bacon, extra cheese. Even if it wasn't that long, it feels like its been forever since he's had a good burger, and he's indulging. Not carded aside, he sticks with soda. Alcohol just metabolizes too fast to be worth it, but a root beer float is more than welcome. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thank goodness for a speedster's metabolism - if he was even properly ddigesting things. He's not quite sure anymore, but he knows this tastes amazing, enough that he gets more of the bacon-cheese fries to accompany the burger when the first vanish. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Cindy watches them eat for a while, then eventually gets up, mutters "I promise my ability's completely under control," and makes her way to the stage.

"I would like to apologize in advance for foul language," she announces.
"Do you want the edited version instead?" the attendant asks.
"No thanks."

And soon, she's singing. And her eyes don't leave Nic.

There is something kind of odd about Cindy singing Fuckin' Perfect. She enunciates a bit too much, for one thing. But as in most things, Cindy tries her best.

	Nic is munching away at her second bacon-related entree with extra bacon and a side of bacon when Cindy starts singing. As she gets going in earnest though Nic's wings perk curiously. "Think she's doing that one on purpose?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Yeah, this is going to be a fun night, he's sure of it. Especially once they get a couple drinks in Nic.

On which note, while it takes some digging to find on the playlist, he goes straight for slowing it down, but with some fun cadences and clever lyrics.
