Houseguests Hanging Out
The prospect of going back to school has Josh a bit nervous. He's not worried about grades or anything like that, confident he can handle the material. It's all those people. But thankfully, he doesn't have to go yet.

Instead, Josh is staying at Henry's place while the Green Lantern is at school. And since he doesn't want to be a complete mooch, the healer's in the kitchen cleaning. He hums a little tune while he finishes the dishes. "There..." he trails off as he completes the task.

Josh just blushes even more as Avalon gushes about him. He shivers slightly at the mention of Black Hand but recovers quickly. "Oh man," he murmured, clearly embarrassed.

"I'm trying to be, sir," he replied to Hal. He shook the offered hand, making sure his own handshake was up to par. "I umm. Well I'm sure he would have done the same for me or anyone else but technically, yes. If that infection hadn't been purged he not only would have lost his arm but likely his life."

	"Josh can heal." replies Avalon softly, before he then grins and moves into the kitchen and drags Josh with him. No reason to hide from Hal. "I've been keeping an eye on things.. Hal nods. "It did. The Spider Guild were operating a slave-ring. Had to be put down. It just took a while." He smiles at Avalon. "Thankfully, Henry's got friends to keep him out of trouble while I'm gone." He moves back into the kitchen and retrieves a beer from the fridge. "Well, if you've saved Henry's life, then I owe you. Thanks, Josh."

He pops the beer open. "But if you see Henry before I do, let him know I'm home, and I want to talk to him?"

Josh lets out another little 'eep' as he's suddenly dragged. That blush remains firmly in place thanks to Avalon. He goes silent as the mission is discussed, frowning at the mention of a slave ring. He shakes the thoughts from his mind and smiles.

"Aww, ya don't owe me anything, sir. I'm happy to be of help! That's why I'm trying to get into this hero thing. To use these powers to help people," he says. "But you're very welcome. Henry's a real nice guy and a great friend," he says. "Yessir. We can do that," he adds quickly. "Right, Ava?"

"Oh yea. No problembo." replies Avalon with a big grin, before he glances to the clock. It was getting on in the afternoon, and he knew Henry usually ended up getting home about that time. If he didn't end up stopping to make out, slurp face, or otherwise engage in some activity that made Avalon have to block Henry's emotions out of his head for fear of his skin crawling.

"Henry should be back soon.. He said that we," he motions to himself and Josh, "Need the proper paperwork or something to be able to go to school with him. So we're just kinda killing time right now.. It sucks."

Hal nods as he takes a pull from his beer. "I'll talk to some of the League, get some strings pulled, figure something out. For now... Henry's got you guys set up in the guest rooms, so that can stand for now." Hal shakes his head a little, s little disappointed that Henry didn't warn him about Josh, but also glad that he's helping out new heroes.

"Don't let me get in your way, guys. Make yourselves at home. I'll be in my room if you need anything."

He heads off towards his room upstairs.

Josh follows Avalon and blinks when he looks at the clock. The healer's still in the dark on the comings and goings of Henry. "Oh. Cool," he murmurs when Ava clears things up for him. Though he keeps silent on the matter, he did want a little more time alone with Ava. "I'm not sure where I'm gonna end up actually...going to school here or somewhere else," he says sheepishly.

He jumps slightly in surprise at what Hal says. "Thanks, sir," he says with a smile. The healer glances to Avalon and then towards the retreating Hal and nods. "That went well."

"Sure thing, Mister Jordan.. See you soon!" pipes up Avalon, happy that meeting Henry's fabled dad went well.

Avalon then turned to Josh, "Remember? I told you that he can't be a bad guy if he raised Henry. You don't get someone like Henry by being mean." replies Avalon. He then oofs and tugs at Josh's shirt, his lips pulling into a smile as he says "If you'd be nice enough to get me the pea-nut-butter I don't mind making my own sammich." Avalon then flushes a bit, and looks away shyly, "I'm just not good with reading English yet and I think Henry got another kind so I don't recognize the bottle."

Josh blushes a little. "I didn't think he'd be mean just," he shrugs. "You know me. I'm worried about stuff you keep telling me not to be worried about," he says.

He nods, quickly retrieving the peanut butter from the cabinet. "It's okay, Ava. It's not like you need to pick everything up instantly. I'm sure I'd be a bit lost on your planet," he says with a smile as he hands the bottle over.

"Nalor is boring, compared to Earth." replies Avalon, as he takes the bottle. "Most of the people are precognitive, and so instead of fighting against a terrible eventuality, they lay down and don't fight. It was very hard to convince them to go against that nature, and even now, it's something that the people struggle with as a whole. But now, everyone sees better things on the horizon."

He grins, and goes about fetching bread as he says "Here, no one knows what may happen, everything is so... unknown. I'm always a bit on edge, and it's a good thing. I didn't realize how tired I was of all of that until I got away from it."

	"Hmm. Maybe they just need something to spice life up," Josh says with a shrug. He leans on the counter, just watching Ava move. "Ya know. An unexpected element to throw off the while precognative stuff," he muses. "But I'm glad you're here," he says. "No need to be on edge all the time," he chuckles. 	Josh nods and continues to watch Avalon. "Yeah. Things are kinda exciting. I'm just glad things aren't boring or crazy," he says with another laugh. The healer blinks at the offer and then shrugs. "Things will get crazy. For now, they are not however." replies Avalon with a big smile. He glances towards the upper floor of the house and where he assumes Hal to be, then looks back to Josh and asks "Wanna play a game or a movie? I love Rock Band but it's so hard.. I don't know the music the way you guys do. But Henry lent me some old movies that he said I had to see, so I don't mind watching those either."

	Josh looks up. "Hopefully not too crazy," he says with a smile. "At least not until I can get myself a proper costume for this hero thing. The jeans and hoodie look just don't work," he laughs. Avalon leads the way into the living room and rifles through a stack of movies till he pulls out "Shaun of the Dead".

"He said this one was funny," he then comments, before he pops the movie in and flops onto the couch. "Come on, have a seat," he then says to Josh with a bit of a playful smirk, before his attention is caught by the screen and he fumbles through the menus to get the movie started.

Josh blushes furiously the moment he's got Ava snuggled against him. The healer blinks a few times and glances towards the stairs. He can still sense Hal up there and is pretty confident he'll sense if the guy starts to come down or if Henry starts coming home. Eventually, Josh slips an arm around Avalon's shoulders and gets comfortable as well.

"Alright then," he says, waiting for the movie to start.

Watching television or a movie with Avalon usually was a rather amusing thing. For one, because he didn't expect any of the old cliques, so he didn't expect anything like skeery zombies or tension filled scenes. So any time there was something even mildly frighting, slightly surprising, or even the tiniest big tense, he ended up buried into Josh's shoulder, squeeking or meeping or hiding his face with his hands.

	Josh jumps and squeaks a few times as well but not nearly as much as Ava. At first he's blushing and a bit confused by Ava's hiding against him but the healer eventually relaxes. Man...Ava's cute. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Avalon was starting to realize that he needed to be careful with how he treated Josh. Mainly because he was becoming more and more enamored with the other boy. It wasn't just some physical chemisty thing; he genuinelt enjoyed the taller boy's company and was having a wonderful time at it.

In some odd way though it seemed quite right, and so he just snuggled in to Josh's side and silently wished his wings were free for they would have afforded a bit more privacy.

"Oh man, this got serious fast..." he murmurs to Josh, and then meeps when a zombie jump out. "No! No don't eat him! Watch out Shaun!" He cries and then hides against Josh again.

	Josh smiles and holds Avalon close as they watch the movie. He's starting to notice some things as well and is slightly worried about them. He decides to worry more later instead and just watch the movie. As Avalon calls to the TV, Josh laughs a bit and holds the Blue Lantern. "It's okay, Ava. Look before ya miss it," he says. "I dunno if I can!" cries Avalon, but he looks anyways, just between his fingertips. When Shaun doesn't get chowed on by a zombie, he relaxes into Josh, the relief evident on his face.

Curled up as he was, Avalon has to incline his chin to look into the other boy's face. "I guess the film would be over if the main character got eaten, huh?" he then asks sheepishly.

Oh stars above, what was going on? Avalon is rather unsure, given that he's not exactly been in this situation before. The boy has had his fair share of passionate moments, but they have been on the whole stolen during battlefield downtime or weren't exactly by his own choosing.

This whole having someone's arm around him and watching a film and feeling butterflies in your stomach are all new to Avalon, and he isn't exactly aware of how he's facing Josh more than the movie by now. Although it does seem to make the tingly excited buzz in his brain more when he throws an arm across Josh's belly.

"Don't worry, Ava. Just watch the awesome moment," Josh says, still amused. He pulls the blue lantern a little closer when he relaxes and winces slightly at the some of violence on screen.

"Yeah. That'd end things way too soon," he agrees, smiling down at Avalon.

Josh...don't.

He goes back to watching the screen for a few moments, feeling a little nervous. Around the time Avalon's arm was thrown over him, Josh noticed the man from space was watching him. The healer looks down and smiles, not sure what to do.
