Family Reunion (open to Atlanteans)
Arthur walked through the ruins of Poseidonis. The jewel of Atlantis lay mostly in ruins and was now floating on the surface of the ocean. Her sister city of Tritonis was in ruins on the ocean floor. Arthur's kingdom was in ruins, but the people were alive. They would rebuild and Atlantis would flourish again. Arthur would spend the rest of his life making sure of that.

He looked around at the ruins of the city and the people moving about. Arthur already had the council on his back for a meeting, but he told them it could wait. He had to make sure his people were provided for first. A good majority of the newly resurrected citizens had been evacuated to Cerdia, but even Cerdia couldn't hold all of the citizens of Poseidonis. Personnel essential to rebuilding were here now and ready to get started.

Arthur looked over at Mera and smiled. No matter what happened they'd get through it together. His gaze wandered and fell on Ash. Arthur had heard she had assumed the throne and with Garth's help led the surviving people of Atlantis to safety in a remote area away from the two ruined cities. When word that the dead had been restored to life, Garth and Ash led the people back to Poseidonis and they had just arrived.

Mera. Garth. Dolphin. Cerdian. Ash. Just one person was missing from his family. Cait. Thoughts of his daughter added some weight to his shoulders. He had to find her and see if she had been brought back. He couldn't imagine having to go through the rest of his life without her in it.

	Cait stopped walking, but she didn't turn around. "I believe you, Cerdian." She held tightly on to Ty's hand. Anger filled her and she wanted to lash out, but the feel of Ty's hand in hers kept her grounded and a little more rational. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Cerdian kept talking before the plan left his mind.

"I studied some of Atlantean law recently for a...situation that mirrors this one. Since my father was raised to the nobility, I expected a day like this might come, although not with you.

Consider: Atlantean Law does not recognize marriages on the surface. Caitria, you know that if you refuse this now, your father will simply try it again with someone else whom you will enjoy considerably less than being shackled to me." Cerdian reasons, thinking this idea over as he speaks.

"But...if we were to do this, then your father could /not/ try again. You know that I do not have any romantic or physical interest in you, so you would never have to worry about that. Meanwhile, I could aid in diverting away some of the pressure on you to be a proper princess.

I have fewer ties to the surface that you, so my presence will not be missed. You could continue your life as it is and deal with Atlantis only when necessary." Cerdian tells her.

	"Cerdian, I appreciate the effort you put into this and the offer, but I will not be force to marry. I love you like a brother and I will not let you be dragged into this. I will not marry because I am being told I must. When I do marry, on the surface or in Atlantis, it will be because I love the man I am marrying. Arthur and the whole council can go to Hades." 	He hates to do this... but feels he has to. "There is also one other problem with that. They don't just want a marriage between you two. You heard them, they want a pure Atlantean line of succession. Which does not allow for Cait going her own way, married in name alone." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Forgive the intrusion, but may I interfere?" Mera stepped out from the shadows, where she had been listening to the conversation between her daughter, Ty, and Cerdian.

"Cait, I know this is something that you do not want. Cerdian, your mother knows this as well, and believe me, we will try and convince both your father and Garth that there is must be another solution than this."

There was a pause.

"However, as the council is not likely to bend easily keep this in mind, whether you marry on Atlantis or on the surface, a woman can't have two husbands." She turned to Cerdian. "Or two wives. And while the council might not approve of a marriage made on the surface...they will not be able to interfere if one of you is married to someone else."

	"What? No! I mean I want to marry Ty someday, but I'm not going to be rushed into it. I will marry whom I want, /when/ I want." Her voice was hard and she hated taking that tone with Cerdian and her mother, but she was not going to be pushed around. Take me away from here. Please. she sent to Ty. Ty bows to Mera, and adds a nod to Cerdian.

"I truly appreciate both of you trying to do what's best for Cait. I don't want to hurt anyone or destroy anything, but I will defend Cait with my life, and I won't let her marry anyone she doesn't want to."

His voice is calm, internally he's anything but, but Cait's presence barely helps keep back the manifestation.

"And at her request, we're leaving. Now."

There's a flash of violet light, and both of them are teleported to the house in the image.
