It's San Fransisco. Eli has managed to find something to smoke. But it's not cigarettes. He's lounging in a tree, smoking and generally being blissed out of his mind.

"Hey, excuse me!"

There's a brunette standing at the foot of the tree with her hands cupped around her mouth, trying to get his attention. "Have you seen a black bowler hat with wings? Flapping wings, not fake ones."

She'd spent all freaking day tracking down her hat, and then the stupid thing had taken off again before she could de-wing it. She didn't think that it could have gotten too far yet, but every minute she didn't have her hands on it was another minute it could spend trying to figure out how to eat a pigeon or something. Which, ew.

"Thank you!" she trills. Nesting is way better than what she'd found it doing before. The hat is going to need to be washed before she puts it on her head again, that's for sure.

She glances around to make sure that no one's looking, then casts a flight spell. She makes sure to specify that this one takes concentration to use, since she doesn't want to find herself up in a new layer of the atmosphere again. Her shoe laces untie themselves like knotted spaghetti noodles, but she does start hovering a little. She concentrates and floats up past Eli into the branches after her hat...

And then yelps and falls back down, right into Eli's lap.

"Pendejo!" she shouts, shaking her fist in the assumed direction of her hat. "You don't get to attack me!"

	Eli yelps in surprise and his wings flap trying to keep him upright. With a few hard flaps he manages to stay up right and not sending the two of them tumbling to the ground. "Watch it!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Once his feathers are done ruffling and he gets a better look at the fact that hey, there's a hot girl in his lap, there's a smile. "It's all right. You didn't mean to." Eli shifts a little, putting his arms around her to 'steady' her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Uh huh, 'steadying'. She's never ever heard that one before.

"Not that I wouldn't mind continuing this conversation--" Because really, how many times do you get to fall into the lap of a hot guy and he doesn't immediately take the opportunity to cop a feel? "--But I really need to at least capture my hat before it gets away again." She bats her eyelashes at him. "You wanna help or do you just wanna watch me do all the work?"
