Ra's al Ghul's threats against his person do not matter to Damien. He could and would take any physical violence his grandfather could dish out and he would make him pay for it in spades.
His threats against Lian, however, strike a nerve within the Demon's Head. The first fingers of true fear he's felt in years creep slowly up his spine, because Damien knows, in his heart of hearts, that Ra's al Ghul means every word he says. Moreover, Damien knows that Ra's really would murder Lian and not lose a wink of sleep over it.
Ra's al Ghul never slept, after all.
"YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HER!" Damien roars, charging forward, only to impale himself on his opponent's weapon, nearly to the hilt.
A ragged cry issues from Damien's lips, along with a rivulet of blood as he realizes what Ra's just did to him. His fingers relax and his sword drops from his hand to clatter to the floor.
Damien falls to his knees.
