Paint It Black (JSA)
It was a quiet night in New York City. People went about their business, rushing on the streets to get home, hailing taxis to get out of the brisk winter air. At the JSA Brownstone, all was well and good.

Then something happened. The sound of shattered glass could be heard shattering, and alarm klaxons blared. The team would soon find that Black Lanterns had arrived, and were closing in on the team of heroes.

	Almost gracefully, Chay-ara dodges Warhawk's mace and laughs. "Is that so? Then why is she bleeding and unconscious in Egypt? She is pathetic; your sister is more so, but you are the biggest disappointment of all. To think my legacy has trickled into a simple-minded, half-breed loser. You don't belong anywhere, do you?" Rex parries her attack, the goes for a punch to the face.

"Here's the part that makes me laugh about what you're sayin'. If I'm the loser, and you're the dead chick trying to fill my mom's shoes...what does that make /you/?" Rex asks, stepping aside from her next attack and trying to smack her with his mace.

"After I'm done with you, I'm going to find my mother and we're going to laugh about how lame you are." Rex says, not believing that his mother would lose to a poser like this.

It had taken a while for his sleep idled mind to figure out what the alarms were about and that they were coming from his alarm clock.
