Rex is working on the potatoes while the steaks are grilling outside. Dad always said that there was never a time of the year one couldn't grill a steak and Rex has taken that lesson to heart.
He also takes to heart the lesson to honor his woman when he can.
When Hope arrives, Rex turns down the heat on the potatoes and goes to the door. When he opens it, Hope sees that he's wearing, over his normal t-shirt and jeans, an apron that says "Kiss the Cook".
"Well, /this/ is a Happy Valentine's Day. Someone left me a Goddess." Rex grins.
