The clawswipe cuts, but there's no blood from the arm that came up to block his eyes, just scrapes in what appears to be dead flesh.

When he speaks, even the lightning is somehow dark, splitting the sky and casting a momentary blacklight effect on the world around as the godwave radiates out from him.
