The Captain gives a nervous look.
"The Pirate King ordered me to attack. He wanted to send a message to the man who built this ship."
That's when the other pirates look nervous. They all knew the tales. The Pirate King was said to be the true master of crime out past where the Green Lanterns roamed. He knew all pretty much.
Somewhere there had to be a joke about kneeling before him but no one was foolish enough to say it.
