The lightning bolt strikes home, driving Jon back through the side of a building and out the other side, coming to a skidding stop in a hole in the street. He's still breathing, but getting to his feet is proving slow and difficult at very best.
Still, he fights through the pain and disorientation. His team needs him, and if his father isn't around, he has to be the one to respond when its a job for Superman.
