New Year's
The beginning of a New Year, a time for new hopes, new experiences to come. A time to reflect on times past, remembering fond memories happily and trying to put less pleasant thoughts and experiences in the past.

It is a time of renewal, a time of rebirth. And for much of the world, it is a time of celebration. This is no less true for the super hero set as anyone else. If anything, they just have that much bigger of things to look forward to.

	Lian got off the couch, looking through the peephole. When she saw who it was, she grabbed a kitchen knife, and James would find it pressed against his throat when she opened the door. "What the hell do you want?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

James finds the knife pressed against his throat, but does not flinch or move. The Demon's Head told him to deliver the message, regardless of the consequences to his person and James will do that.

"Your anger is justified, Lady Demon, and if you wish to slay me, you would have no issue of it while I am in this form." James Abbot says.

"But I come to you with a message from Lady Talia. She reminds you that the Demon's Head loves you and spared your life where she and the Demon's Fang were inclined to take it. But Master Damien is /suffering/, Lian. He has not been the same since you left him. He does little but work, eats only enough to survive and...he's burning his books." James says.

"Lady Talia worries for her son, and asks that you reconsider this choice you've made...as do I. He does not know that I am here at his mother's behest." James says.

"Please return to Master Damien and console him in his hour of need."

	"Damien murdered my best friend," Lian said. "You really think I'll go back to him after that?" Did she still love Damien? Of course she did. Did a part of her want to go back to him? Yes, she did. "This is not about ownership, Lady Demon. You carry the heir to the League of Assassins within you. You will be protected and provided for all of the days of your life." James said.

"Damien loves you, Lian. I have never seen him act toward anyone the way he did with you. He would move the heavens at your command. Your friend, regrettable though his death was, stood between a man and his wife. His death is considered just in most countries in the world, though America believes in punishing the victim rather than the perpetrator." James says with disdain.

"What about your child? What about what he or she needs? I grew up without a father, Lian, and it was hard. My mother tried, but there are only so many things a mother can do.

You say you don't need him, but I feel as though you are not being honest with yourself, personally. Talk to him. You can work past whatever differences you have, but only if you give it chance." James implores.

"Talia sent me here, but I wish to see my master and his wife happy. Truly happy. Is pride worth hurting an innocent child who deserves a whole family?" he asks.

"Please consider it, my lady. The way you suffer is the same way he suffers. But if you must blame someone for what happened...your friend Red Robin set all of this in motion by provoking the Demon's Head.

He had to know what would happen if he invoked the League's wrath. Yet he did so and now people have died when they didn't need to." James says.

"He has the most blame to shoulder in this matter, though none of us are without fault."
