The flying trash can was avoided quite easily by Nightwing thanks to a quick backwards handspring. Seeing that Batman had the thrower of the trash can under control, he turned his attention to the Spawn.
"You got those jokers? I got the.. whatever the hell that is." he said, before he took off running and leaped off the side of the building, aiming towards the critter. Halfway down, before he hit the pavement, he fired a jumpline, instantly changing his trajectory, and putting him on a crash-course with the critter.
