Arthur smiled when he got the gift and knew what he must do. He had gotten Mera an emerald and diamond necklace with the emeralds matching the green of her eyes.
He was not above using the JLA teleporters to get him to the Atlantic ocean and near Atlantis. The former king knew how to sneak into the city and into the royal palace.
He found sleeping in her chambers.
She was beautiful, but moreso when she slept. The stress and worries of life were gone from her face and she looked so peaceful.
He leaned over and gave her a light kiss.
