Metallo was still recovering from the taser arrow, the item still sparking. He manages to recover it from his neck around the same time that Mia reaches for the chunk of Kryptonite.
She takes hold of the Kryptonite and flings it away, earning a pained scream from Metallo. He raises a fist, intending to smash the young woman to death before she can move away.
