"It's okay, Conner. A girl can dream, can't she?" Jenny says with a smile.
"Of course, the Jordan/Mia lovefest has been going on awhile." he whispers.
"He asked her to a dance at his school a couple of weeks ago, but she said she had somewhere to be. They hung out last week, though." she whispers.
"Oh." Conner says, his expression falling a little, too.
