Who: Professor Selene Hudson, What: Searching for monsters Where: The forest/swamp surrounding the campus. Rating: Safe For Work The moisture and the cold were seeping into her boots already, she would have to remember to charm them again once she had a moment to herself. "Watch your step," Professor Selene Hudson warned Leon and Amy as she stepped over a fallen log. She calmly inspected every snap, step, crack, and rustle that registered in her ears. A loud rustling caught her attention and her arms went out in front of the two students. "Shh," she whispered holding her wand aloft. She inched forward quietly, until she reached the source of the noise, she poked at the underbrush and jumped back when a small creature scurried out from under it. She jumped back and inhaled deeply. "Oh! Oh, false alarm," she laughed nervously as she realized the creature was just a common raccoon. "Just a raccoon," she shook it off and continued moving along, going deeper into the woods. Tags: !incomplete, leon shaw, npc

Who: Professor Alexander Langley, Gael Shaw, and Simon Buford What: Monster hunting Where: The forest/swamp surrounding the campus Rating: SFW
They had already been wandering around for between half an hour and forty-five minutes through the muddy, swampy woods, and so far they had seen neither hide nor hair of anything strange or unusual - just the normal every day critters that hung around in swamps at night. Gael had made sure to charm himself to keep from getting too muddy on top of dressing appropriately for the excursion. It had been mostly slow going with little in the way of conversation, which was understandable as they were supposed to be focusing on trying to find any more creatures like the one who'd attacked his brother. He tried, however, to keep the personal aspect out of the hunt. After all, the one who had actually attacked his brother was already in the custody of the school. This was in order to prevent future attacks on other students or owls. And who knew if the creatures would move onto other pets, or even outside the school grounds and attack muggles. They had to be on their toes. Thinking he heard something, though it could just be Sim behind him accidentally stepping in something that snapped, Gael turned to his left, raising his torch above his head. "Hey, did you hear something?" Tags: !incomplete, gael shaw, npc, simon burford

Who: Professor Baer, Ciaran and Keegan What: In search of the creatures Where: The forest/swamp surrounding the campus. Rating: Safe For Work Heading into one of the more densely packed sections of the surrounding area, Professor Grant Baer wove in and under tree branches, over fallen logs, and into some rather thick muck. The area was mossy and damp, and smelled like what it was: a swamp. Granted, it was more of a forest than a swamp in places, but it was still nonetheless a swamp. Especially in this area it seemed. Heading out to the East of campus, Grant had lead the two students out to the area he had said was the most likely to have bat-like creatures. "See what I mean? Tall trees, overhanging branches that are sturdy and strong, hollow dead-fall to hide in during the day and be out of the sun. This is the perfect area for these creatures." Talking low, barely above a whisper, he moved as silently as possible over twigs and soft moss. Tags: !incomplete, keegan howe, npc

Who: Professor Leonard Fortis, Emilie Devlin, and Charles Oliver What: Monster hunting Where: The forest/swamp surrounding the campus Rating: SFW There was an air of nervousness as the groups of students and professors split apart and began searching the grounds for the creatures at large. Leonard Fortis, firm and stoic as always, looked at the students assigned to him and nodded. "Miss Devlin, Mr. Oliver," he said holding his lit wand. "Stick together, ever vigilant," he gave them a knowing smile. He started walking in front of the two students, checking left and right with each step and never straying too far from Emilie and Charles. Tags: !incomplete, charles oliver, emilie devlin, npc
