Sam hugged her back as best as he could, giving her a little squeeze. He rested his head against hers and sat in the silence for a little while. He tried to let what she said sink in, he tried to think of the right thing to say.
He had been told a thousand times over by his family, by AB, and now by Ginger, that it wasn't his fault. Yet there it was, the guilt, still weighing on him like a one ton weight. He nuzzled her back and kissed the side of her head. "Thanks Ginge," he said finally breaking the silence.
"It's good to talk about it," he said quietly. His two best friends had moved in the past few months and the only other person on campus he trusted with these things with Marina. It had always been a fragile, secret thing and now it was out there for another person to know.
"It was kinda silly for me to get upset about Twilight though," he grinned giving her a silly little look. He had to bounce back to his regular self, it was for his own sanity. There was only so much brooding he was capable of regardless of the severity of the situation.
