Mackenzie stared at Sera, a shocked expression on her face. She had never in her years of trouble making had she ever thought that flying under the radar by sucking up would be fool proof. She supposed this was why she was on the honor roll, girl had brains. “Well, that is the smartest fucking thing I’ve ever heard,” She said, grinning. “It’s not like I personally could test that, because I am me, and no teacher believes anything I say, regardless who it’s about. I just don’t understand why they could possibly think that I, of all people, would lie!” She threw her head back and laughed. “I’m practically a nun!”
“I don’t know why she brought it up to be honest, that girl always assumes the worst!” Mackenzie said, pouting slightly. She knew that Tatum had been joking when she called her a scumbag, it was a term of endearment when it came from the redhead. Along with asshole, pig and gross. “I mean, exactly! If I was gonna get in your pants I would have already executed that plan! But hey,” she said, grinning flirtatiously at the younger girl. “If you’re ever single, give me a call Little Sister.
”You know how much Tatum would freak out if you texted me something dirty? Like, she told me it didn’t even matter if you started it, I’d be responsible. She’d like, kill me dude. I’m too young and good looking to die! Do you know how many babes would mourn the loss of this?” She made a gesture at her entire body, grinning stupidly. “It would be like, loosing MLK or something.”
“You totally know what face I’m talking about,” She teased, poking Sera in the cheek. “That one that you get when you think about Jenny,” she sang the girls name in a sappy voice. “Like, when you think about how cute she is or whatever it is that you think. I hope you don’t get that face when you think about touching her. Cause that would be kind of weird knowing, and I’d probably have to tell your sister to freak her out.”
At Sera’s question Mackenzie snorted in laughter, probably just a little too loudly. She waved her hand as if to dismiss Sera’s idea. “Do I have a crush on Tatum? No, she’s my best friend ever. And if you tell anyone I used that expression I will hurt you.” She added, giving the other girl a stern look. “She’s just like a puppy you know? You can’t help but think it’s cute and adorable, right? Like, even the toughest, hardest, dudes make baby noises at puppies. Your sister is like that to me I guess, I think she’s like the cutest shit ever. But she’s got Frankie.” She was rambling now, it was definitely time to shut up.
She tried to shrug it off as best she could, hoping that Sera hadn’t noticed anything. Luckily her filthy habit of blushing when there was mention of Tatum seemed to behave it’s self this time. Although, she did feel a bit flushed and hoped that Sera didn’t notice. It would be bad enough if she could just pick it out like that, Tatum may be an oblivious bystander but there were people who wouldn’t be so clueless.
Mackenzie bobbed her head in agreement, “Yeah, plus she was like, extremely interested you know? It could potentially get messy. Girl got way too attached for just getting a phone number.” She had rules to go by when it came to picking up women, the clingy ones never made the cut. “I don’t really do attachment.”
